The staff were great along with the food and location. We were there for my 60th birthday party along with close family members and the staff could not have been more accommodating. It was the weekend of the floods which made getting around impossible but the weather did not dampen the atmosphere. The rooms were very clean and comparatively newly decorated. Would definitely return for a stay hopefully without the rain. There was little that I did not like but if I had to be picky the bar area is not particularly good with only bottled beers being available. Resonable wine list though. |

The room, the dining area, the ease of checking in and out and the staff. Pillows in rooms. Not enough head support. |

Comfortable and friendly but also efficient and keen to meet all customer requests - slightly 'old fashioned' in the nicest possible way! |

having the comfort of a large room with the addition of comfortable armchairs, the quietness of a room in the garden, then the lounge in the main building where one could have a drink while choosing from an excellent menu for dinner. |

Excellent breakfast Disappointed. Expected at 3 or 4 * This is a motel rather than hotel. Bar services rudimentary. If you want to eat in restaurant book a table or you may be turned away! We stayed in Superior Double, the main feature was a four poster bed which was so small (think 4'6'") I fell out of it first night! Room decor very dated and balcony scruffy. Wall partitions between rooms too thin with noise nuisance accordingly. Bathroom refurbished but let down by cheap plastic shower with low water pressure. No vanity mirror in room dresser and our hairdrier went missing - when we asked we were told it had been taken for another guest so this created a some stress an hour before a wedding! |

The Staff were attentive and very pleasant at all times. The breakfast was very enjoyable. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The grounds were beautifully maintained. I read some others' reviews and have to say they were not akin to our experience at all. The mattress was a bit hard, but we got used to it. Could hear other guests' televisions. |

I thought the food served in the restaurant was of a very high standard. My bedroom was small but very comfortable and quiet. Staff were helpful and friendly and I would stay again when next in this area. Wireless internet was advertised but did not seem to be available. |

Excellent full English breakfast, with good variety. Friendly staff. Very close to Lake Widermere, so we could park the car at the hotel and walk down to the lake. They also allowed us to keep our parking at the hotel for a couple of hours after checkout. |
