Tremendous breakfast choice and quality Friendly and helpful staff Cosy rooms Value for money Clean Location Parking Wifi
Dated, but at that money what do you expect
Central location Private room Good food Friendly staff
Excellent food. Competent and friendly staff.
No negatives at all.
The service was perfect, never intrusive but always exactly what was needed. Sometimes its the little things that make the difference. I asked for more toast and the waitress brought more butter as well.....simple but would have been missed in so many other places.
Personal Service and lovely staff..
The room was lovely but could hear neighbours due to thin walls
The food was excellent The staff were helpful and very pleasant
fantastic staff and great food
bed was too soft, but otherwise no issues
The main focus for our overnight stay was for relaxation from the stresses of every day life. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay again. It is close enough from home to travel but far enough away to feel like a million miles away!
Didn't like is a bit strong but when we got there we were shown into a room that hadn't been made up. We were swiftly moved into another room however.
Location Breakfast Shower Cleanliness Staff
The headboard on the bed was broken, everytime you moved in bed it banged against the wall.
Food – Phenomenal breakfast spread, which comes free with the stay. On the last day they even packed breakfast for us since our train was at 8am. Property – Nice place with gardens and individual cottages. By far the largest rooms we stayed in during our UK trip. The only complain would be that the lights in the room were a bit too dim and dull.
Location – Very close to the Windermere lake, but slightly away (10-15 minute walk) from the main town area which has all the shops and restaurants Price – It was not very cheap. But given the property, rooms and breakfast, probably fair.
lovely food friendly staff
heating too high in rooms
The location to Bowness center is ideal. We arrived too early to check in but the staff were friendly & helpful. Our room was very comfortable & the breakfast...perfect !
The staff were brilliant The bed was comfortable The location perfect nice and quiet and only a short stroll to the amenities
The toilet in our room didn't flush The food was ok but expensive
Location, staff, food and atmosphere of the highest standard. One very minor suggestion is that the room was a little dated and tired and would benefit from a slight refurb. However, the room was spacious, clean and had a very comfortable bed and a balcony as a bonus I would give the hotel 9/10.
Beautiful room, bed was very comfortable. Morning on the balcony was nice. The options for hot drinks in the room were here well catered. Good toiletries. Breakfast was nice but no croissants available. Staff were excellent.
The toilet was loose. No other complaints.
A shout walk from Lake Windermere this cosy hotel was comfortable and the welcoming staff ensured we had all we wanted. Plenty of choices at breakfast from fruit and cereals to eggs benedict.
Can't think of a down side. If there was a problem the staff would have put it right
Family run Staff Room Breakfasts Location
Bed could have been a bit bigger and more comfortable but this wouldn't put us off booking again.
Excellent breakfast bed was big and comfortable and room was warm and cosy and clean .
Although room was clean thought carpet could of done with a clean
The facilities, customer service, food and everything else at Burn How could not be faulted. Would gladly return again and again and I cannot recommend highly enough.
We thought it was a great hotel, excellent location, great hotel with a good sized room with a terrace, the breakfast was lovely and staff very accommodating and friendly.
Breakfast was superb
We stayed in a family room with our 2 year old grand daughter, room was comfortable with double bed and 2 singles but very overpriced at £170... £100 is more realistic.
Food and service was excellent. Staff were courteous and polite. They were also very helpful with any queries we had about the surrounding area.Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a comfortable hotel in a good location.
Nothing to dislike.
The breakfast was beautiful The staff very friendly and welcoming Very close to the lake, we walked to the little car ferry and close to the boat tours Although we were 5 in a room it felt very spacious and bathroom clean and good size
Location and ease of parking, rooms (standard room) heating dining room. Amount of options for breakfast, (see comment on dislike)
Cumberland grill was a let down,it had been left under the hot plate and was drying up, this was every day.I have had better grills on a cheap National coach tour. Given the low number of customers at the time and given the overall price i expected better.
