A very warm welcome, 5* fresh cooked breakfast with fruit salad and cereals as a perfect start, very quiet at night
Joan and Andrew are wonderful hosts -- friendly, welcoming and very helpful with suggestions about places to go and things to do. For walkers and cyclists, the sitting room is stocked with maps and guidebooks to borrow. Breakfast was really fabulous, and the house is spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable -- one of those rare places where they seem to have thought of everything. The village is very quiet and picturesque, making Burnley House an absolute must-visit for anyone who likes the moor country. Really can't recommend highly enough.
Perfect in every way. Lovely large private room, delicious breakfast, friendly hosts. So many extra touches -- from welcoming tea and cake upon arrival to real milk for the tea in your room -- make this B & B perfect for spending time in charming Hutton-le-Hole.
The breakfasts were excellent, the decor and ambience of the dining room was very welcoming.
Trying to settle the account whilst the proprietors were very busy preparing breakfasts, I would suggest a notice recommending that guests can settle their account the previous evening.
The location was beautiful and very peaceful. The staff was so unbelievable friendly and would go out of their way to help. Rooms were perfect and very very clean. Was made to feel very very welcome xx
Nothing. I couldn't fault the place x
*Hutton-le-Hole says it all - you are definitely not in an urban environment, the location is fantastic! *Accommodation was top class, very well appointed & spacious *Breakfast was best we had in 5 weeks travel in UK/Europe *Local pub served excellent food (& drinks) * Excellent Wi Fi overcame nil mobile coverage, Skype/Viber etc good * Andrew & Joan were lovely hosts
*Not much! *Parking in yard was a bit tight but OK *Lots of sheep droppings all over commons/footpaths (joking - not an issue)
great welcome, fab food, plenty of space and nice and quiet
would have preferred shower and water pressure low
Everything was perfect! All the little extras made this stay so special Joan and Andrew were really welcoming and friendly, they thought of everything and were wonderful when we needed a vet! Now the breakfast! - no other words to describe it other than perfection!
There is not one thing we can criticise or complain about!!
Lovely guest house run by warm friendly people. Comfortable room. Excellent food. Lots of little extra touches, like biscuits provided on the tea tray, which was very welcome, as there are no shops open in Hutton in the evening to buy snacks. We would stay again.
Nothing negative to report
Excellent welcome, tea & home-made cakes. Andrew was a superb host, booking a table at 2 pubs during stay. Joan was also a great hostess. We very much enjoyed our stay at Burnley House.
Second time we have stayed Joan and Andrew could not do enough for us hope to go back soon
Everything the location the accommodation & best of all Joan & Andrew, also The Crown pub excellent food.
for the money, burnley house is absolutely amazing, it's also set in a pretty picturesque little village - our 8 year old son had no shortage of fun and the chocolate factory that is a 5 min walk is a must!! i'd recommend the crown inn, the food is delicious! again a 5-10 min walk from burnley house - don't tell everyone, we're going back so don't want this fully booked ;-)
i can't find any faults - i did try!! :)
The lovely welcome with a cup of tea and a cake, The room was lovely Lovely Breakfast Really welcoming owners
We enjoyed our stay at Burnley House. The owners Andrew and Joan were the best hosts we could wish for,the room was clean and spacious with easy free parking and a great breakfast. The small village of Hutton-le -Hole is brilliant for relaxing or sightseeing.
Lovely location, great hospitality, beautiful house which is very clean and well maintained. Very enjoyable short break.
The hospitality was second to none, really helpful friendly and most importantly a good family atmosphere. Fantastic people and surroundings. Will go again in the future. The local pub the "Crown" is great too! With a fantastic duty manager, Keiran.
We liked everything: However If you are going to see a gig or visiting "Dalby forest" for any reason. Make sure someone drives, forget taxis and such. Its a nightmare otherwise, a 3 mile walk after you have been dropped off with the taxi, there and back in the dark. The 32 mile round trip to the forest is well worth it to stay in such a great village.
Lovely room, bed very comfortable. Breakfasts excellent.
Very clean, quiet, and beautifully decorated house in a peaceful village with a couple small shops and a pub. On-site parking, delicious breakfast, and warm, gracious hospitality. Highly recommended - would definitely go back.
Delicious breakfast with home made bread. Fresh milk in rooms.
Friendly and welcoming in a lovely setting. Comfortable room, excellent breakfast. Everything that we wanted with some nice extra touches.
We loved our stay with a very warm and friendly welcome, fabulous breakfast, beautiful room, spacious and beautifully decorated. easy parking and access. Lovely small village in great location. Loved the attention to detail and provision of real milk for room tea and coffee, and chocolates too! Would definately stay again.
it was just over the road from the pub in village which was realy good, lots of walks from the door step, the bed was realy comfortable.
Joan and Andrew were very friendly and helpful.
