I sometimes have to stay cheaply in London, and BW's are always the best value for money. This is clean, comfortable, and easy walking to the tube. Overall, a nice, unpretentious, hotel with great staff.
Location and staff.
1.First room offered was so small that our two suitcases could not sit open on floor anywhere and still allow us to walk out the door or the bathroom :( 2.All food services were terrible.
when we arrived we had been upgraded to a deluxe room which made our stay really special.
Good location, close to tube, shops and restaurants Comfy room
Room extremely small, we couldn't open the bathroom door properly as it hit the bed WiFi didn't work
Good location for Earl's Court
Room was very small but clean
Clean :-) Friendly Staff
Great position. Nice vacinity.
Sofa a bit worn out.
Close to the Metro station
Room, furniture, unfriendly male staff at reception, elevator ....
Room, forniture, elevator, bathroom tub, washbasin, single-pane windows with obvious condensation and noise problems ...
good location, very near to the underground station several supermarkets, fast food restaurants nearby small but cozy room, good facilities helpful staff
Comfortable, warm and friendly.
Many visits over the past 8 years to Burns Hotel, mostly enjoyable, as was this most recent stay. Main reason is location, but friendly staff and comfortable, if small, single rooms, are also bonuses. Even the ancient, old lift has a certain old-world charm. Only a few short stops on the Tube to Embankment/Charing Cross, which is the real plus for me
First time visitors should appreciate that the rooms are quite small, but for those only using the hotel as a roof over their head shouldn't be disappointed.
Creaky floor, dated, decor
the location was great and the room was clean. The staff were friendly
I couldn't access wi fi in the room. The heater didn't work so the room was very cold. The chair leg was wobbly and the aerial for the tv was taped into the wall and this room was supposed to be an grade!
Quiet, comfortable and very friendly staff.
The double room would have been a bit tight for 2 people with luggage but lovely for 1.
Efficient , polite staff, room comfortable and well organized. Lovely quiet square and very close to metro.
Wifi kept disappearing.
So close to Earls Court Station. Breakfast. Staff
Hard Bed in the room Wifi connect
Decent room size, Clean Bathroom, Baggage storage,
Wifi wasnt always working,
Easy walk to Royal Albert Hall.
Room was very small and double bed was against the wall so difficult for access. However it was a late night and early start the next day so not too much of a problem as we slept really well.
Good location at Earl' Court. Close to tube station and many shops are nearby. The room was clean and tidy. Wifi was working fine.
There was a big group at check-in and there was not enough staff to handle them. I had to wait for ca. 20 minutes till I could check-in.
location Staff Breakfast choice
bed Wi fi drops out
Very helpful and efficient staff at reception and breakfast. I reported that the radiator in my room was not working; in less than five minutes the duty manager had installed an excellent electric heater.
Although breakfasts are (supposedly?) cooked to order, some of the ingredients are barely warm, let alone hot.
Location and surrounding amenities- 3 min walk to tube, Blackbird pub(excellent fish n chips), Boots pharmacy, M&S food, and 5-10 min to 2 supermarkets, variety of restaurants, pubs, breakfast places and launderette. Earls Court is a charming neighborhood with lots of Victorian buildings and interesting nooks and crannies.
No a/c-can't imagine how one would get through summer. Rooms are still small, and family rooms are a better size if you need space for luggage and to relax. London accommodation is expensive, but I think I'll fork out a little more for a 4 star experience next time.
