rather worn. Main window obscured by failed double-glazing. Window cill in need of repair. Electric kettle sited dangerously at shoulder height
Location, outside terrace and gardens, comfy lounges and leisure facilities.
Unfortunate view over car park from bedroom.
All Burnside staff, are excellent, polite and a pleasure to stay there.
Staff were great and very accommodating, polite, customer focused. Happy Hour seems to work well, that's where we interacted with other guests most.
Stayed in room 139, this was well presented, but the radiator outside on the landing was on too hot. Very Minor, as we were out all day, but made for an uncomfortable sleep.
Beds were very comfortable and cosy. Was able to accomodate an 8 month old baby perfectly and rooms were quite spacious. Staff were very friendly and helpful happy with the service.
TV could be slight bigger. 32" would be nice. Struggled to watch it from the bed. But did not bother me as was not there to watch tv. Wifi was inexistent. Literally comes for 2 minutes and gone for an hour.
good location, nice modern decor. excellent breakfast.
parking difficult with hotel busy.
It was in a great location, 5 Mins Walk from the Lake in one direction & 5 Mins walk from the town in the other. It was lovely peaceful & relaxing.
phone call to see if the room met your requirements
Spa facilities were looking tired and dated. Worst of all appalling WiFi coverage most sort this one out for business travellers otherwise you will get a bad name on this account alone.
Love this hotel! The staff are great - can't do enough for you. We had our evening meals whilst there. FAB
Staff, setting, facilities, room.
Ordinary leisure facilities.
Very nice hotel, family was ideal for family with 2 young children and a great breakfast plus plenty of room to park the car
Location Big rooms
Small saftey box No fridge Small beds Hard to walk to the hotel because it is on the hill.
Room not clean, old style furniture, really too expensive
Everything about the hotel was good. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was quiet and generally a peaceful experience. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. Very fresh and good quality ingredients
A minor point, the music in the breakfast room did not seem congruent to the tranquil setting. MUZAK
The location was good. the staff were very good. We liked that the hotel allowed dogs, and we especially liked that the receptionist asked whether we would like to have our breakfast in one of the lounges and if so, then a table would be set up for us, to allow the dog to be with us. We really liked this facility. The staff were very good and friendly. On the Friday night, the girl in the bar who served us was very good, she was also on the breakfast rota for the next couple of mornings and each time she was very friendly and helpful. No name badges were worn so we don't know her name. The hotel was in a very good location and allowed a pleasant walk each day down to the town. There are plenty of restaurants in the town within walking distance. On the first night we ate at the hotel and the food was very good
We changed our room three times. The first room was nice, light and airy, but unfortunately the small insects seemed to be having a bit of a party there! There were loads of dead insects on the bathroom window cills, actually in the toilet (even though the lid was down) and in the bath. We were then changed to another room, which felt small, cramped and had a small window. Whilst it was pointed out to us that we had only booked a basic double room (this was because it was all that was available), the second room was much smaller than the first, and we certainly felt like we had been downgraded because we had complained. We didn't complain to be difficult, i just didn't want a load of insects sharing my room. the third room was fine.
The staff were very friendly and nice. The hotel was in a beautiful location with lots of things to do. The hotel service was very good. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable.
I didn't like how the doors slammed very loudly. Guests were slamming the doors and they woke us up early in the morning.
The hotel lay-out. plenty space and comfortable room. Balcony was a bonus. Very peaceful and lovely view from our room. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Staff were polite at all times Size of our room was fabulous.
Unable to get served a drink after dinner in the Hervey bar due to one poor soul behind the bar taking orders and having to serve food as well rather than have a dedicated bar man. Whilst our room was lovely there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor and the room opposite had the same rolled up towel under the door for our whole stay. Worth telling guests what's going on as a bit disconcerting.
Staff he best you can get. Location perfect.
Fantastic break Hotel is superb highly recommended, staff really helpful
Everything is within walking distance even my girlfriend could walk into town with her very High heels on
Reception staff and restaurant staff were excellent. Even sorted out someone else charging meals to our room.
Just the weather. The only place in the whole country where it was raining!
We liked the location. Easy 2 minute walk to the town or Lakeside. Breakfast was of a high standard.
Decor was a little tired. I thought the evening meals were overpriced and so we decided to eat at a local restaurant instead which was far cheaper with excellent quality.
Stunning central location only a few minutes walk and you we at the lake side. Beautiful terraced area to sit back after a busy day and relax and enjoy the view. Excellent sports facilities which kept teenagers entertained...... Made for a very happy holiday.
