The leisure facilities & the hotel in general.

It had car parking in close vicinty. It had a bar. And it was near to venue where we were attending a wedding.

Dated 80s decor Double bed only and was not comfortable £7.50 for breakfast per person - very very average quality food for high price Dirty side plate Disgusting sauce bottle top No one even asked if the food was nice nor was the stay nice All above would be fine if it were £50 a night but not at a £100 - very poor value for money regardless of what other establishments in the vicinity charge.

It was very easy to find and had a very warm welcome as soon as we arrived. 'John' even managed to change our rooms for us. The rooms were refreshingly large and had traditional. Food in the bar was delicious and promt as was the breakfast in the morning. Spa facilities were amazing and the staff didn't stop working the whole time we were in there, seeing if we were ok, changing the water jars, tidying up etc. Had a wonderful relaxing time with some special college friends. We would most certainly return. Thanks.

The only complaint was the Spa therapist (although very polite and nice) arrived an hour late, without an apology then seemed to rush through our 'relaxing!' Massages. Thought they would last about 30 mins but seemed to be over in 15!! Paid to be relaxed not 'rushed!'

Relaxed atmosphere; great location for walking running etc; great pool and gym facilities; helpful, friendly staff; old coach house style..a wonderful place to spend some time relaxing, recovering from the stresses and strains of everyday life. cannot fault the Burton.love it..hope to return again ASAP!

The rooms were a good size and the en suite facilities very good and the pool etc was excellent. Unfortunately the lounge, bar and dining facilities did not match up to the rest of the hotel.

See above: food was indifferent and the bar and public areas need an overhaul

Very good hotel, pleasant staff, good food. Had single room which was very clean. It was good value for money.

No hot water for morning shower.

Availability of free swimming pool. Cleanliness & comfort of rooms.

Breakfast was charged extra and was poor - continental breakfast was toasted ready sliced bread (cold when it reached us), tinned fruit and unexciting cereals. It was cheap - but I'd rather pay a bit more for care and quality.

We received a warm welcome on arrival and were shown around the spa facilities and to our room. Our family room was spacious and very clean. As the weather was so bad we spent all afternoon in the spa which was included in the price of our stay. The facilities were excellent and we spent a relaxing afternoon. We chose a bar meal in the evening from an extensive menu. We all enjoyed our meal.

The only disappointment was the breakfast. My daughter is wheat intollerant so chose 2 boiled eggs for breakfast. We were charged for a full English breakfast at £7.50. I never knew that eggs could be this expensive! I did query the cost but it was not altered. A disappointing end to what otherwise would have been a perfect stay.

The spa staff were excellent and really helpful. The hotel staff were okay did not bother us nor help us. Room was clean parking plentlyful.

The food was not brillant for the price, we had a mixed grill in the bar nothing special. The breakfast was small for the price we were left alone at breakfast we not asked if we wanted any extra toast or coffee.

Friendly staff

Poor standard of bar meals. Salad leaves were not washed appropriately. Soil still visible on salad. Place mat on table was stained with ketchup from previous user.

The lady at reception couldn't have been more helpful, in fact all the staff we encountered were excellent. The room was big and clean we had food which was quite good, only bar snacks. I recommend this hotel without hesitation.
