The towels and bedding were clean

The room was dated and the carpet was filthy. I was told before booking that I would have WiFi access, which is essential to my work, but was not able to access WiFi once during my entire stay. The bathroom and furniture looked like they had not been updated or re- newed in at least 20 years

I have stayed at the Busby many times. The staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. It is a convenient location.

Some of the rooms are a little tired, particularly the bathrooms could do with some updating

The room was dirty, stains all over the chairs and bed. Felt really unsafe as the lock on the door wasn't very secure. The person next door snored all night while the couple above were very noisey getting jiggy. Wanted a nice meal but the menu had indian food or pizza?!? What a combination. Do not book this hotel.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in an hotel for a long time!

Very old and uncomfortable matress - very un-pleasant and provided 3 full nights of dis-comfort. Smoke alarm had obviously been changed when I was out for the day and came back to chips of plaster and wires all over the carpet - ok, not the hotel staffs fault but the electrician should have been told to clean up when finished his work. tv on the wall had an open junction box so obvioulsy customer safety is not a priority. Toaster at breakfast was totaly useless and only made hot, dry, crispy bread and my coffee was served in a tea pot with a "this isn't right I know but it's all I can find" and "och, the toaster's rubbish" comment from the night porter who served the breakfast! He obvioulsy thought it was ok to lick his cloth to clean the table mats but must admit that seeing this stopped me from ordering a cooked breakfast!! Carpets worn and just a very tired hotel so would not recommend to anyone who wants a nice hotel. The Busby used to be very good but not any more - needs money spending on it to bring it back to quality. May be ok as a pub but not as a hotel. not happy with my stay. Receptionist was very good and friendly and although heavily pregnant, nothing was too much trouble for her so top marks to her. The rest of the staff had a "well that's how this place is now" approach which shows even they don't like the hotel.
