Fabulous decor, everything was new and finished to a high level of quality. Very helpful staff - they could not have done more. Having free Wifi in the room and bar was very helpful. We had to have breakfast out of hours and this was very good and they didnt charge us extra.
My room was cold as the temperature if controlled from reception and I had to ask twice for it to be heated up. I really wanted to watch a film in my room and the TV only had minimal channel options.
Staff polite varied menue good value overall enjoyed my stay
Room was modern.. Clean and comfortable
Staffs attitude from the moment we checked in ... Told twice I was using wrong pin when using my MasterCard ( which I wasn't) tried my Maestro card ( acceptable card they said) only to be told NO not accepted? Busy reception witnessing this. Couldn't get food as told had to book?? Receptionist couldn't get us taxi?.. Bar closed at midnight even for residents?.. Won't stay or recommend this hotel.
Double bed not two singles joined and was so quiet
My car was badly damaged in the car park and still waiting on the hotel getting back to me
Room was great apart from bottle neck by writing table and sharp corners on bed which we both caught and have bruises. Could not get hot hot water out of shower , only Luke warm.
No mention when booking room was up 2 flights of stairs. old set towels with large hole in and frayed. Appalling breakfast - first day , nothing in 31 mins, burnt toast 2 nd day , hard boiled eggs for benidict, dreadful buffet table on bar, burnt toast again, quality of cooked breakfast awful.no coffee. Terrible.
Staff were friendly and helpful at times. A very understanding when wecheckedoutafter only one night. The hotel is under new management and they did offer to give us a room in East Kilbride, unfortunately the location didn't suit the purpose of our visit.
The hotel is tired and in need of a refurb. Having had our wedding reception there 10yrs ago the place was a shadow of its former self. Although the room was clean it was tired. A cracked ceiling, uncomfortable bed. We will consider going back due to its location (nr family/friends) but not until it has been refurbished.
The reception staff were very friendly.
The cleaners often missed our room out. Also, there was black gunk on the shower curtain and holes in the wall. The overall appearance of the hotel was that of one whose better days have long passed.
All staff were courteous and efficient. The rooms were well maintained, bright and clean.
Creaking floors and a rock hard bed.
The bar being an age 21 licence.
Very noisy party until 1am!
Reasonable breakfast parking area of Busby- village
Could not get internet in my room no lift to my room, no double glazed window, top of taps (H & C) missing on basin - very ugly looking poor lighting in room - no overhead light & room can be dull - all wall lights.
40 quid a room was a good price. Good parking facilities and bar was quite decent. Hotel looked nice from outside and we had a nice view from our room.
The bathroom suite in our room should have been ripped out and replaced a long time ago it was that old; and the shower was completely useless! Luke warm and not very powerful. Also breakfast was served 8-10. We arrived at about 9.30 and were still there at 10. The waitresses just began taking away all of the breakfast foods and juice! So we had to finish breakfast with out any extras or juice. A better was to do it would be to leave it out until guests have finished but just don't let any more people in at 10?! Found it a bit odd and rude!
Good Free Car Parking & Closeness to railway for Glasgow Central. Low cost of alcohol
Fixed Menu for meals. Owing to intended early refurbishment Evening Meal served in Bar area
old looking, very tired
The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. The hotel was clean and had a nice style even though it's a bit old and needs some updating. The breakfast was fantastic and the dining areas have a nice atmosphere.
The first room we stayed in was decorated in a rather kitchy "arab" style, but it was clean and comfortable. The pillows were rather hard.
I liked the hotel as I felt it was a reasonable hotel for the price, also it was 5 minutes away from the railway station, trains to Glasgow were every 30 mins.
Nothing really leaps out at me, stairs were a bit of a bind but there was a lift, which was a great help.
The staff are always helpful and friendly. This was our second stay. The hotel is still undergoing refurbishment and it was good to note the changes being made.
Service at breakfast
Helpful friendly staff. Clean room.
This hotel is tired and dull. For example the bar is drab and uninviting and in our room the bathroom had a shelf missing, cracked tiles and incomplete accessories. It is badly in need of a makeover.
staff were friendly
room had several things wrong and was not up to standard
Pleasant receptionist - Donna, brilliant
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
Room was basic, funishings very tired,
