It was in a pleasant location with attractive grounds.

The bar staff were atrocious. We ordered coffee at about 10pm and the barman disappeared. After 20 mins I went to look for him but he was no where to be seen - nor was there anyone on reception I could speak to. I left it for a few minutes and eventually found the receptionist (not at her post). She located the barman taking a break and reminded him that we were waiting for our coffee. He grudgingly returned to his post. No apologies were given by anyone. In my absence my partner started chatting to the only other people in the bar. They told him that they had stayed at the hotel before and that the service was appalling. They were only paying a return visit because they were attending a wedding nearby and couldn't get accommodation anywhere else. There was a large television in the bar which seemed to be for the bar staff's entertainment only. Most people staying in this type of hotel expect a quiet drink in the bar - not reality tv of the worst kind! The hotel was a little shabby and looked (and felt) as though it could do with a makeover. A good manager to get a grip on the staff, raise their morale and promote a postive experience would make a difference.

It was close to centre of town, I had a nice view from the room and the bed was comfortable.

I was particularly disappointed with the low pressure showering, I expected to get a good powerful shower when paying £73.00, this was the only disappointment in an otherwise peasant stay,.

The location and the quality of the hotel is good. Staff very friendly and professional.

However, the shower was not working in the room as it delivered extremely hot water followed by cold water for 10 seconds. My husband almost burnt his back. Furthermore, the toilet when flushing made an awful noise that could be heard at the end of the corridor. We reported both issues to Reception and on checking out were not even offered a discount or refund.

Comfortable well run hotel. Central location. Parking.

The location is excellent.

The condition of the hotel is shabby, with peeling wallpaper, holes in the bedroom walls and worn carpet. The staff seem inexperienced and unable to cope with the hotel computer system.

Lovely location and very comfortable country house style hotel.

Mattress on bed was hard and noise of other guests.

The rooms were well presented, clean and comfortable

The breakfast was poor, the staff apathetic except for one waitress, buffet breakfast was not replenished quickly, tables not set correctly, cups dirty, had to ask for plates, cutlery, condiments

It was very reasonably priced for what it was and it's location in the centre of Farnham was perfect for what we wanted.

Proximity to wedding venue - Northbrook Park. Staff very friendly. Fresh fruit at breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. En suite fittings of excellent quality. Gardens a delight. On site parking a real bonus.

Dinner food disappointing in quality and quantity. Short staffed and seemed to want us started and finished as soon as possible. Told we could only eat at 7.00pm, as a large party was coming in later. Not true as we were the only group all night.Staff got orders all wrong, but did offer 40% discount on bill.

The internet being charged at £6 for 24hrs when i feel it should be free

Only stayed briefly but liked the reception rooms. Excellent brealfast too!
