Overlooking the shore of Busta Voe, on mainland Shetland, Busta House is a lovely old building with en suite bedrooms, large garden and superb local food. Between the village of Brae and the island of Muckle Roe, Busta House is close to the geographical center of Shetland - a good base for exploring the islands. Try the fresh local food offered. There is a choice of wine and some 160 malt whiskeys. Enjoy free Wi-Fi in all public areas and a few of the bedrooms. All other bedrooms have modem connections and there is a computer at reception for you to use if you need. Built in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, there is no elevator at Busta House. The hotel was reasonably priced, close to Sullom Voe Oil Terminal, in a picturesque location, had reasonable facilities, helpful staff and a fair standard of food.

Buetiful place to stay for a very relaxing weekend, all staff were so lovely and helpful. Meals were excelent.Room so comfortable, and clean. Will be going there again. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Infact I hope to go back soon.Any young couple looking for a romantic break or honeymoon, should consider this place, so very lovely.

Have been coming back for over 12years. It is a pleasure to see familiar faces and to be able to enjoy the Shetland scenery knowing there is a welcoming place to return to. Highly recommended.

The staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. The food is lovely- we highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel. We enjoyed being out in the country rather than in Lerwick- it was about a 30 minute drive and the scenery well worth it. Everything was comfortable and very clean. All in all, we highly recommend staying here for rest and relaxation, excellent service and food, and the beauty of the Shetland country.

A very enjoyable stay in a country house hotel which was comfortable in a lived-in sort of way. The staff, from the proprietors downward, couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable, and the food was excellent with a choice of top quality bar-type meals or a more formal four-course meal in the dining room. They were quite happy to accommodate my wife's request to have a main course from the dinner menu which wasn't included on the bar menu.

It's a beautiful hotel with a long history. I am used to very commercial hotels where they immediately start asking for creditcards. They don't need it here, you are trusted. Breakfast is nice, friendly staff. Diner is good, served very fast as well. Every day you find some cookies in your room. It al is very personal. The enormous amount of pillows on the bed
