Room a bit small
Excellent staff and very comfortable room, excellent showeroom and very clean., good parking and will book again in the future.
hotel is excellent warm friendly and decorated to high standard. staff very helpful and friendly, value for money. if you need to stay in torquay the marquis is well suited . this is rated as a 3 star, I would suggest 4 star. stayed at the Adelphi in Liverpool last week, rated as 3 star. compared to marquis Adelphi was of very poor standard. once again well done marquis 10/10. breakfast also ex
Kingsize bed with massive, very comfortable, good size bathroom, very nice
how friendly the staff were and how close it was to places.
The room was freezing! Single glazed windows and no heating on at all. Never been so cold in my life.
the time it took to get a meal I went there at 6-50 I had a prawn cocktail for starter and battered fish for main it took one hour and twenty minutes and there was only 6 people in the restaurant
this is now a lovely hotel after refurbishment. the room and in particular the bed was very comfortable breakfast was perfect with cereals and a full english with everything you could want
only small gripes such as no chair in bedroom and music at breakfast which is not required
social areas , food
Staff really warm and friendly ,very helpful too, lovely breakfast
Looking out onto a tyre and exhaust garage and the early start of business on Saturday morning which was noisy, so we were unable to have a lie in,found that a real pain
Staff were excellent nothing to much trouble, rooms comfortable and really clean. We will book again. Tom from Corby.
The location, decor and the parking were excellent. The staff were all young and enthusiastic but it felt like they were mostly in training; there was a feeling of lack of experience. The price was amazingly low.
I rely on wifi and despite some efforts it conked out in my room all the time. The evening meal and the wine were only so so.
Location Seasonal discount price Good breakfast
No reception staff on arrival - just a note saying "go to the bar" No staff at the bar Eventually taken to our room - no heating on in December Shower not working - had to get dressed and find help in a virtually deserted hotel Best I got was a tepid shower
Clean room staff very helpful
Three people for 50 pounds with a lovely full English breakfast! Great!
Very good in every aspect. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was excellent and the bathroom had been refurbished to a very high standard.
2 minor grouses: the water to the shower took about 5 mins. to get hot, and the cooked breakfast was not hot enough.
Breakfast very cold both mornings.
Generally all good but we were shown to a diiferent room to the ad on Booking.com which was quite drab, room 110 was adequate but needs some pictures to cover the bare walls. On arrival I was informed that there was a £3 per night parking charge, but when I pointed out their ad offered free parking the charge was removed. I stayed for 1 night (2nd December) and for £29 a night b&b it's hard to find fault, would stay again at these prices.
Evening meal menu was very poor ( pie & chips, burger & chips etc ) Cooked food at breakfast was cold.
Location as it was easy to find Plenty of parking Sea view from Dining room Modern bathroom Easy walking to Town Centre Helpful staff
Traffic noise as our room was located on the main road side of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was cold. A microwave would have been useful
Receptionist (Sophie) was excellent. Other staff also polite and welcoming. Fantastic location for English Riviera - for walking or by car. Hotel evening meal excellent value and each course served promptly.
Cooked breakfast items were only warm under the 'hotplates'; need to be hotter. TV had a dodgy signal initially.
staff were very helpful. Buffet breakfast. Good sized car park. free wifi. Would definitely use again
Noise from nightclub opposite.
exellent value for money, this was our second visit & we would definetly stay again :)
bed was uncomfortable shower curtain was smelly
