No hot water struggled and I had a Cold shawer also I have to use my friends room to wash my 18 months old baby
Hotel was clean and staff very helpful. Loved buffet breakfast in dining room. Maybe upgrade to larger room small problems but will return. Good value for money Good location
Room very small,as was ensuite bathroom. up many stairs as lift not working. No mirror by plug socket No window or fan in bathroom.
food cleanliness staff always polite cheerful and willing to help
Plenty of free parking. Charming and helpful receptionist. Above-average breakfast. An easy walk to the pub and a couple of restaurants.
A fantastic hotel with very friendly helpful staff. A lovely beeakfast was had and would go back anytime
. Staff . Location . Ambience . Breakfast was self service and very adequate Because of the above I would recommend the hotel however be aware that the rooms are tiny !!
. The room was absolutely tiny and the bathroom was so small that the basin was in the bedroom. There was no power in the shower, the water literally dripped out. I felt that due to the above issues the hotel was over priced!!
staff were fabulous food was excellent communal areas beautifully decorated
shower was cold & shelf in cubicle prevented you from standing under water
Short stroll from hotel to centre of everything Torquay has to offer. Rooms very clean with beautiful modern shower rooms. Lovely full breakfast with staff eager to help. Will definitely be returning bringing more family members.
situation, staff on the desk, room.
Dirty bin in bathroom , doors insecure, breakfast and no atmosphere in the dining room.
Very friendly have stayed before and will again thank you.
WiFi & breakfast
Room size. But wasn't that fussed
New bathroom. Very friendly staff. Good price.
No facility to print boarding passes. Couldn't switch on bed side lamp because the lead was so short the switch was behind the bed.
All the staff were very helpfull and friendley 10 out of 10
Wernt told before hand that the lift was not working. Hadnt been working for some time. we were on the 3rd floor and had to clime lots of stairs!! Husband has a bad hip and I get very breathless, so not great.
breakfast, large Victorian rooms,location
bedroom furniture you would not give away
Easy walking distance the beach and town. Nice Breakfast and very helpful staff. Nice comfy bed. Internet had improved since first visit
The Bed. The new bathroom. Good breakfast.
The size of the room. The lack of sound insulation. I don't want to hear my neighbours peeing. There was NO HOT WATER to shower or wash with.
It was close to the sea front and the centre. Recently refurbished to a good standard nice comfy bed. Very clean
Appeared to have been a major problem with hot water!!
staff very pleasant and friendly, entertainment and bar good, hotel had character, breakfast good, didn't eat evening meal as we went out.
room too small but very clean we were top floor and no lift available had to climb stairs with luggage.
The friendly and helpful staff Comfortable rooms Nicely decorated and attractive old hotel The restaurant (good food, great value and kids eat free!)
The main road was a little noisy
Just 10 mins walk to the sea front. Breakfast was good, dinner was good too.
A lot of the time it felt like most of the staff had only just started working there and that no-one really knew what they were doing. We had to repeat ourselves a lot. And there was confusion whether we had half board dinner included, which they should have know without having to ask other members of staff. It was bemusing at times. But we only stayed for two nights. I think the staff need more training.
Location was good, parking easy, staff are nice, bed was comfy
Shabby furniture, still needs a lot of work to get it up to a good standard
Everything. Room. Cleanliness . Food, value for money and tasty. Staff absolutely excellent. Location bang on for everywhere you want to go in Torquay, and quiet even though it is on a busy road. Building fabulous. Couldn't find a fault. Would definitely go back and recommend to friends. All at a reasonable price.
Nothing. Loved it all.
Lovely stay and great location, probably one of the best located hotels in Torquay.
The restaurant, evening meals. We had a 3 course meal one night for myself and my children. It was quite pricey for what it was. We had to wait ages to be served. There was one 18 (?) year old waiter and everything took ages. The steak was really chewy and not good quality. The next night was the same. Quite a few people sitting and one waiter running round.
We had a lovely stay at the marquis hotel. The staff throughout where fabulous and nothing was to much trouble for any of them. We had a ground floor room because we had 1 person who is a wheelchair user. The room was very clean and comfortable. Thank you for a welcoming stay.
The only thing we would change is may be a hand rail in the bathroom and some shelves for your toiletries.
