Good food, attentive staff
Very spacious hotel, with lovely lounge & dining area. The Most comfortable beds I have slept in on my travels
Self service breakfast, breakfast warm I like mine hot.
Friendly and helpful staff. A lovely room 105. Comfortable beds. Not a bad breakfast, would have liked weetabix. Great location.
nice friendly staff comfortable lounge area and bar area is excellent nice views excellent location will go back again good hotel and food is excellent
only stayed a few days room was a bit foisty didnt complain for such a short stay but i know if i had complained it would of been sorted such nice staff can't do enough for you
Great location for walks into town, easy to get to other sightseeing venues by car. All the staff were more than helpful throughout our stay. We'll go back to the Marquis Hotel in the future :)
Customer service excellent. Very clean. The Manager/ desk clerk responded straight away to the shower problem as stated by me and reduced the rate slightly.
The plumbing was far from good. Shower was running hot and cold mostly
We like the location and the hotel! Is Farley up to date. Good breakfast, and sat and had coffee after breakfast on the settie and wasn't made to hurry at all, this is our 3rd stay,
The room was a little small! And although the room said wi fi we couldn't get on to it!
Bar was open 24/7
everything could not fault one thing about the hotel staff /food/ The hotel. GOOD ALL ROUND HOTEL ****
TRAFFIC NOISE!! NOT HOTELS FAULT.
Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Very helpful and friendly. We had a great time, it was a nice start to our night out. The entertainer that was in the hotel that night was good, we had a good sing and dance before hitting the town! Bar prices were very reasonable!!
The only critism would be that the showers were very weak!! Took ages to rinse my hair of shampoo!!
Location, friendly staff
Room a little small
The bedroom was lovely. Food was very nice. Most of the staff where excellent . The hotel was clean and modern and in a good location.
We had a couple of issues which where rectified quickly and handled very well by staff and manager. We where very impressed
The staff were very polite and as helpful as they could be. What was lacking was management. The location of the hotel is good. It is difficult to write 200 characters when there is nothing else to say! I hope this is now enough.
Loud music till 11pm each night. No hot water. Lukewarm breakfast with limited choice. Evening meal poor value for money. Curtains which didn't meet - and we were by the car park. Single glazed windows so external noise came through.
Location was good.
The lift was out of order and looked like it had been out of order for some time. No fun lugging suitcases up stairs. Needs some TLC to bring it up to scratch.
the service, my room, the garden , the roof terrace , the happy ,polite staff always ready to help
the land train did not stop at the end of the garden or the bowling greens
6.5hr travel time..hotel was easy to find...nice welcome...Nice period style hotel..blend old with new...very quiet so got good sleep..very close to sea front..next time will book meals coming back next year..but will be coaching or train...as my taxi blew engine on m5..coming home..27hr journey to get home plus £1.350 bill....pity put a mocker on our lovely break at the marquis...10/10 will be back..if deal is good...cheers..Mr+Mrs dempster
The hotel was clean, staff very polite & the food was good. Good location and you could tell the hotel was having a face lift ( very nice )
The beds where ok but a bit creaky !
The heritage Hotel itself. Gand stairway, lounge
Although the hotel was clearly just been renovated, the staff were obviously not completely trained in Hospitality. The room service needs to be trained in how to service a room properly. Picking towels up off the shower floor and folding them (damp) and putting them on to the shelf for reuse - folding the damp and use floor mat : not acceptable. Fresh towels daily is a minimum requirement.
The hospitality, cleanliness @ all night bar within reason.
The only worry we had when washing your face in the sink the glass shelf a bit dangerous you could easily hit your head
It was good value for money The building is fresh and clean, the staff helpful, the location is very good
Nothing really not to like The shower needed to be warmer but that's all.
the hotel was very clean and tidy. reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
the only thing we didnt like was the barman/waiter who was completely inappropiate with his behaviour. my wife and i felt very uncomfortable in his presence.
The restaurant staff were very polite and friendly.
Cold showers, poor flow of water from shower, could hear conversations from neighboring rooms, and when they used their toilet, stains on mattress.
Room was spotlessly clean . Bathroom very nicely fitted . Breakfast good
On arrival reception was unmanned waited a while then went to track a member of staff down . Pillows rather uncomfortable
hotel was nice and clean, staff very friendly and helpfull, evening meal was very good.
