when ringing to confirm booking, reception staff seemed not to have an idea about the online booking process and it took some time just to confirm I had a room

Location to town, Peterborough centre is a 1 mile walk away. You may wish to phone ahead once booking is complete if you book anything other than a double room, we have made several bookings and it's a lottery if they get your request of "twin room please". A phone call could save a lot of time when you arrive! The drinks from behind the bar can be "hit and miss", it seems to be the glass cleaner. The pub next door is nice enough to make up for this though.

The location - (by the rowing lake) I was there to take part in time trials for another water sport which was using the rowing club venue. The bathrooms smell of drains

Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The room was in a terrible state. Wallpaper was peeling in the bedroom and bathroom, bathroom fixtures were loose, there were holes in the wall from previous fixtures and the paint was peeling from the coving. To be quite honest, not what you would expect from a Ramada hotel.

its situation next to the rowing lake was beautiful. the room was not prepared for us until we asked 3 times to access it due to a housekeeping overload of work. I booked a double room, none available so we had a twin room. there was ripped wall paper in the bathroom. No remote control for the TV. No in-service information ie need 2 towels for 2 guests ... 2nd set of towels in a drawer with no information to tell us this! The room was cold because the window had been open no instructions for the heating...

The hotel didn't appear busy, it had little atmosphere. The room was tired and in need of updating. The lampshade on the lamp was just balancing and the lamp light kept flickering. The bed was not comfortable, merely a rickety old pine bed. The bathroom was also in in need of modernisation and the shower was low on pressure. We did not at in the hotel restaurant and it did not look like many others were. Generally a poor hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was very good. The room it self was sizeable, however the furniture, wallpaper, beds, chairs and carpets were all old, outdated, dirty with stains. I would not walk on the carpet in my without shoes on, this is a first for someone who travels alot and chooses Ramada as a preferance. Tiles in the bathroom were dirty with black limescale.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ramada. The only problem we had was that the bed was too soft. The countryside and surroundings were lovely and would definately consider staying again if the opportunity arose. Thank you The only thing was the bed was too soft.

Nice staff and very good view. Mattress rolled into the middle so I couldn't sleep.Bit surprised to have to ring the bell at 11pm when we got back as it was locked. Would have liked breakfast but it was to expensive so went without.

It was a perfect overnight stay for me, as I was attending the gb dragonboat time trials.. Your staff allowed me to change rooms in order to see the rowing lake as I woke, it was an enormous focus point for me.....

Good price, handy location, pleasant staff. The rooms are fairly standard and clean. Handy car park on site and easy for the city and the train station. Breakfast was fairly pleasant with a nice morning view, evening meals ok but nothing to write home about.

The staff were friendly The bath was tiny, the shower leaked, we had a flood which I had to mop up with towels, I asked for a double room & got twin beds, which were not comfortable and the sheets were too small. We only had one bath towel & one face towel. The food was awful! I stay at a lot of hotels with my work, and this was the first time my husband has been with me on a trip! We were very disapointed. Reception didn't ask if we had a comfortable night, so I take it they know that is pretty unlikely. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone or return.
