This Hotel is exactly as it says - Theatrical and Quirky - something different - just like stepping back in time with the decor and furnishings within the whole hotel - thoroughly enjoyable experience. |

Loved the room (Queen Alexandra), very comfortable bed. Because the room overlooked the street thought it would be noisy but secondary glazing worked really well. |

loved the atmosphere- quirky, stuffed full of antiques and the only place I have ever stayed that provided real leaf tea, real coffee and hairspray! in the bedroom. Wish we had booked for more than one night. entrance through the kitchens was awkward and seemed unecessary as there was another unused entrance that would have been much more convenient |

It is a very individual hotel - a nice antidote to the anodyne international style hotel that could be anywhere. I had a very friendly reception and the staff were very accommodating. No, it was all very pleasant. In the dark and the heavy rain it was not easy to find out how to get in - perhaps slightly larger notices? |

A very warm individual welcome. Every requirement catered for. The room was huge, and like staying in an antique shop. The bathroom although classic in style was new and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was outstanding, and our whole experience was excellent value and shall return in the future. |

There was nothing not to like. The whole experience was a joy. My girlfriend was so impressed that she said it was the best birthday she had ever had.And we are not that young anymore. Thank you Adam for being the perfect host. Service always, with a smile. We trust you will of had a great holiday in the U.S. We would love to visit By Appointment again. Thanks for a really great experience. Food was lovely if not just a bit pricey. And it is a long drive from Windsor to Norwich. So we may have to move a little closer. |

Pleasantly unusual, like stepping back in time. Great position and parking. Great service and ambience. Very comfortable but as weather very hot would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room. Stairs could be a problem as very very steep. |

Friendliness of staff, eccentricity of layout & decor, attention to detail, food. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problem. Should be made clear from outset. |

Lovely, quirky room. Generous breakfast. Entering via the restaurant kitchens is not ideal! |

Please write at least 15 words. The welcome was warn. The room amazing and every comfort had been considered. Not so much a dislike but the entrance is via the kitchens so unusual. This a restaurant with rooms though not a conventional hotel |

A first (for me at least) was the welcome tray. Fresh coffee with cafetiere and loose leaf tea with teapot and fresh milk. The twin-bedded room and en-suite bathroom was uniquely furnished & decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Full english breakfast was perfect. We shall definitely return and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is tired of the bland impersonal chains. |

A family feel to the hotel with pleasant staff that made you feel very relaxed and welcome. The building itself is a wonderful conversion of the merchant houses that it used to be and has been done tastefully with the interior decor taking you back to a victorian feel. The food was excellent if a little pricey, but heh you get what you pay for! |

This is a fantastic little gem of a hotel with an amazing restaurant downstairs. The hotel rooms are full of little bits of history and the attention to detail is second to none. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend this if you are visiting Norwich and looking for an interesting / special place to stay/dine. |
