Byards Leap Lodge Apartments

These flats are located at least 4 miles from Cranwell on a council estate. They are second storey ex council flats and it is a £40 taxi ride from Byards Lodge and/or RAF Cranwell. The bookings.com website map shows it wrongly located. It is in St Giles Road, Sleaford. When we arrived to collect the keys we were advised that one of the 2 'apartments' we had booked had no heating or hot water and so we could have this at a discount of £20 per night! When we finally arrived at the flat the other heated flat smelt of gas and stale and we felt really let down with the information on the website. The continental breakfast consisted of a loaf of bread in one apartment and some butter and marmalade. The biscuits in the apartment were out of date! There was no milk and no cereal. The pictures dont show the outside for good reason! If you book this apartment be aware that it is on the other side of Sleaford and not user friendly for RAF Cranwell. Owners relucantly agreed not to charge us for the apartment with no heating. So in summary. Misled on website about location. Smelly. Poor breakfast. No heating or hot water. Distance from RAF Cranwell.
