Byards Leap Lodge  

Beds are exceptionally comfortable with plenty of room. The fridge is really useful when in mid-journey. The bathroom is bang up to date and spotless . Management and staff were very helpful and friendly. We were very impressed with the quality of this hotel for more or less the same price as a basic motel room in aTravelodge or Premier Inn.

Avery warm welcome from Linda & the staff, room was excelent, large queensize bed,room very clean & modern, bath room large, very warm &comfortable,.Mini bar in room tea &coffee . The Breakfast set us up for the day,plenty of choice & very well presented..we stayed for 3 nights & would definitely stay there again.

Very noisy plumbing and thin walls. Can hear every tap in next bathroom being turned on and each trip to the loo! Have been staying regularly and small repairs still not done on each visit. Eg wobbly loo roll holder and curtain tie back and tv a bit hit and miss at times.

Lovely comfy room. Great room facilities. Fab breakfast. Lots of parking. Good value.

The only critisisum I would make is it's quite close to a busy road and at night where our room was situated you could hear the passing traffic.

Clean ,modern, friendly service more a small hotel than a b&b . Breakfast was second to none out of this world. Will go again as we have family near.

Is near a busy road but as the hotel is lower than road not noisy.

Ibooked three rooms for my husband and I and children [ now grown up]It was so different. The location was great. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely. It had history and access to a lovely walk. The food was fresh and well presented. We had a great stay. Thank you

My son and his wife stayed in the double room. They were very happy with everything. I am Ann. My husband and I want to make a point but not a complaint. The point is to make the owner aware a problem may occur with some guests if not rectified. The noise from the road unfortunately disturbed my husbands sleep [we were in the front bedroom which housed a queen sized bed which was excellent] I must note he always opens the window at night if the window had been closed we might not have heard a sound, but he likes fresh air.

Fresh and clean accommodation with welcome tea and cake.

Checking out procedure was to wait in the cafe queue with all the cafe clients buying their breakfasts. This took ten minutes to get to check out and then the manageress had to be called to deal with the payment.
