“My daughter and I stayed at the Byron Hotel for a long weekend in May. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great. I have stayed in several hotels in the Bayswater area over the years and this was the best in its range. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The general areas bright, open and charming.”

The only positive things I can say about this hotel are that it is convenient to two tube stations (Queensway and Bayswater) and it is near a lot of restaurants and shops. There were a number of things I didnt like about the Byron Hotel: - dirty sheets (sheets were stained and when asked to change them, the replacements were as well) - dirty towels that were on the bathroom floor to be replaced were simply folded about put back as if they were fresh - bugs in room - additional cost for internet access unreasonably high (5 pounds for 3 hours or 10 pounds for 24 hours) - additional cost for local telephone calls - no refrigerator in room - garbage not taken down when room cleaned (had to take garbage down on our own in the morning) if any one of these things had happened independently, it could have been a coincidence, but taken together, the only logical conclusion is that this hotel is a very poor value for the money they expect visitors to pay.

The Byron's biggest plus is its location near beautiful parks, many amenities and public transportation. Our room was small (understandable in an urban locale) but wonderfully clean and quiet at night. Our shower was in need of some repair and a fan system would be good in the bathroom to help with steam and condensation. Staff seemed very uninterested in guests. I cannot comment to how helpful they were or not as we are fairly self-sufficient travelers.

The Byron has good sized, clean, modern rooms. The bathrooms are also of a high standard. One thing that stands out in particular about The Byron is its ability to get the small things right that many hotels fail to do. The kettle fits under the tap so you can fill it with water, and they have toilet brushes as well! It is a shame that breakfast doesn't start earlier, and it would be really good if there were ironing facilities in the room. The Corby Trouser Press is great for trousers, but what about my shirt?!

slept terribly, very noisey as an old building, loud fan outside the window, continued banging doors and some kind of heavy dancing on the ceiling from 5 in the morning ruined my sleep.

Good value in London with a good size room. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our double bed was unusual though, 2 singles pushed together with 2 single. The decor isn't modern but the room was well maintained. Excellent location with a 5 minute walk to Bayswater and Queens way tube. We'll definitely use this hotel again.

Great location, close to Marble Arch. Less than 5 mins walk to Bayswater & Lancaster Gate underground stations, bus stops also along main street. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Small but perfectly formed room which was spotlessly clean. Fantastic price for pretty much central London. Would definitely stay at the hotel again. Continental breakfast was quite limited, with a very small selection of cereals and tinned fruit. Although, plenty of toast was provided with a selection of jams and marmalade.

It was a very convenient hotel to the City of Edinburgh. It was in a quiet street with a lovely outlook over the park. Breakfast was good. Staff happy to help with things went wrong. We had a room on the 5th floor with no lift. Wifi only worked in the lobby of the hotel. Power shower stopped working on last day.

We stayed at this hotel to attend a festival in Hyde Park over the weekend. Very close to Hyde Park and close to tube for getting into the centre of London which was only a couple of stops away. Lovely clean room, quite large for London. Had everything you needed including nice clean bathroom with good shower. Overall a lovely little hotel for a London sight seeing/shopping trip, would stay again. The man behind the reception on arrival was less then friendly but the lady the next morning was very helpful so just pot luck who you deal with really! Not enough to put me off staying again though.

Very good hotel. Excelent localization. Near from two tube stations. Bayswater and Queensway. With this two tube stations you will can go to all turistic points. Just take a tube map and go. The staff of hotel is very delicated and respectful. The room is very clean, cozy and all services work well. I only had a problem with internet at first day but the problem was resolved. I don´t used a breakfast of the hotel and I can´t say nothing about this but a tip is going to the Bella Italia. This is a very good Italian restaurant for breakfast and night program. Is very near from the hotel. The street of the hotel is very quiet and beatiful and If you want relax it´s time to go. If one day I back to London certainly I will stay at the same Hotel.

Absolutley nothing good to say about the hotel. The room looked like the inside of what I can only imagine a well used prison cell would be like, with scratches and markings all over the walls, the carpet was absolutly disgustingly dirty and even the telephone was filthy.
