The only positive things I can say about this hotel are that it is convenient to two tube stations (Queensway and Bayswater) and it is near a lot of restaurants and shops. There were a number of things I didnt like about the Byron Hotel: - dirty sheets (sheets were stained and when asked to change them, the replacements were as well) - dirty towels that were on the bathroom floor to be replaced were simply folded about put back as if they were fresh - bugs in room - additional cost for internet access unreasonably high (5 pounds for 3 hours or 10 pounds for 24 hours) - additional cost for local telephone calls - no refrigerator in room - garbage not taken down when room cleaned (had to take garbage down on our own in the morning) if any one of these things had happened independently, it could have been a coincidence, but taken together, the only logical conclusion is that this hotel is a very poor value for the money they expect visitors to pay.

The Byron's biggest plus is its location near beautiful parks, many amenities and public transportation. Our room was small (understandable in an urban locale) but wonderfully clean and quiet at night. Our shower was in need of some repair and a fan system would be good in the bathroom to help with steam and condensation. Staff seemed very uninterested in guests. I cannot comment to how helpful they were or not as we are fairly self-sufficient travelers.

It is a clean and pleasent hotel otherwise with an excellent location and neighbourhood It is a nice hotel, but would not stay there again. for the price the room was way too small, breakfast is not included and they even charge for WiFi which is mean spiritted. If it was not overpriced, I would not complain about any of these.

We stayed at this hotel to attend a festival in Hyde Park over the weekend. Very close to Hyde Park and close to tube for getting into the centre of London which was only a couple of stops away. Lovely clean room, quite large for London. Had everything you needed including nice clean bathroom with good shower. Overall a lovely little hotel for a London sight seeing/shopping trip, would stay again. The man behind the reception on arrival was less then friendly but the lady the next morning was very helpful so just pot luck who you deal with really! Not enough to put me off staying again though.

Great location, close to Marble Arch. Less than 5 mins walk to Bayswater & Lancaster Gate underground stations, bus stops also along main street. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Small but perfectly formed room which was spotlessly clean. Fantastic price for pretty much central London. Would definitely stay at the hotel again. Continental breakfast was quite limited, with a very small selection of cereals and tinned fruit. Although, plenty of toast was provided with a selection of jams and marmalade.

It is nearby queensway which provides a range of choices both for a closer location dinner as well as breakfast. When we arrived we were given a room on the basement floor, although with a window turned to a small interior patium. After complainung, We were told that the hotel was full, but in the following day, the staff arranged a change. I was given a second floor room, a bit bigger, and above the ground floor! Both rooms were small as was the couple bed, but were clean and tidy. I have to say that the stuff was extremely helpful. The hotel has a good value for the money.

Friendly staff. Clean room with adequate facilities. Poor quantity of hot water. Quite pricey for the quality considering no breakfast included and not free wireless. No secure facilities for storing baggage.

The location is very good. The room was nicely and newly furnished and very clean, but also very small. Breakfast is good but fresh fruit would be nice. In relation to the price the room was very small. Also the heating system was not very modern, the heating in the bathroom didn't work or wasn't on also it was very cold in the nights.

It was a very convenient hotel to the City of Edinburgh. It was in a quiet street with a lovely outlook over the park. Breakfast was good. Staff happy to help with things went wrong. We had a room on the 5th floor with no lift. Wifi only worked in the lobby of the hotel. Power shower stopped working on last day.

Very good hotel. Excelent localization. Near from two tube stations. Bayswater and Queensway. With this two tube stations you will can go to all turistic points. Just take a tube map and go. The staff of hotel is very delicated and respectful. The room is very clean, cozy and all services work well. I only had a problem with internet at first day but the problem was resolved. I don´t used a breakfast of the hotel and I can´t say nothing about this but a tip is going to the Bella Italia. This is a very good Italian restaurant for breakfast and night program. Is very near from the hotel. The street of the hotel is very quiet and beatiful and If you want relax it´s time to go. If one day I back to London certainly I will stay at the same Hotel.

The location is great. Walking distance to 2 tube stations. Close to hyde park. Quiet neighbourhood. That's the 2nd time I stay at Byron. The 1st was in 2008 and it was much better. We had 3 different rooms *because we were 5 people) The room I stayed last week, was very small (at the basement) and had a lot of dust, also some mould on the roof. Really tiny bathroom on the 5th floor.
