Very conveniently located-- a few minutes' walk from the local station, and not that far from Paddington area. Close to shops, pubs, etc.Tiny room, but clean and comfortable-- fine if you plan on spending days out, which, if you're in London, presumably you are. I spent a long time trying to find a half decent place to stay in London without selling necessary body parts to pay for it. The Byron has no frills whatsoever, but for an economy traveler wanting to spend a few nights, it does the trick. A bit rickety in some regards, very thin walls; got locked out once and had to wait a few minutes before someone came to let us in, but otherwise no problems. |

Compared to other hotels in London, this hotel had a nice look. The room was small but clean and nicely decorated. Also a plus was that the temparature could be adjusted to your liking manually (not a common feature in London hotels!). |

Location (less than 5min walk from Queensway and Bayswater tube stations), Rooms. Breakfast was poor and breakfast staff were terrible. Staff in general were not polite (except for one guy, i think his name is Ali) |

Very clean, central but quiet location, just needed a bed for the evening and the hotel met that requirement, rooms were small but we had no luggage so that was ok. Travelled with a work colleague and we booked a double room each but wouldn't have wanted to stay in my room (9) with a partner, room 4 was ok for 2 though. This is a small basic hotel so don't expect a grand lobby reception and bar. If you want that you'll have to pay more. Originally offered a room on the lower ground floor and like other reviewers have mentioned, there was an offensive smell. Manager initially said the hotel was full but was very helpful and found us 2 rooms which were fine. |

Rather small rooms but the bathroom was surprisingly big for the London standards. Good value for money hotel at very good location. Elevator - really slow and quite shabby. |

The hotel was very well situated. It was close to Bayswater and Queensway tube station. It also looked very quaint from the outside. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working and it was hot in London which meant the window was open all night. This is usually not a problem, but we woke up to find we were sleeping close to the vent of the kitchen! It stunk. Fortunately we were moved to a slightly bigger and more comfortable room. However, we awoke to the smell of cigarette smoke from an apartment below. Maybe this was simply bad luck. |

We chose this hotel because of the location. Close to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens and underground station (Queensway) only 2 minutes walk. The room and en-suite were very clean. The shower was good and toiletries supplied were of good quality. It was also very quiet at night even with the windows open. The room safe did not work and when questioned, none of the staff knew how to fix it. The "air conditioning" in the room was not worth bothering with - very noisy and barely gave out a whiff of cool air. The hairdryer only worked on cold setting, but maybe that was a bonus, as our stay was during a heatwave. |

The Byron hotel is a very pleasant hotel for a trip into London, though the rooms are small, that being the norm in London,it was very comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly and will assist with any queries or problems. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back to The Byron next time we visit London. |

Location was good. A few minutes walk from Bayswater station and variety of restaturants are a few blocks away. Staff were friendly and welcomed us. Our room was clean, quiet and spacious for two person though it was basement floor. Shower hose was cracked, so water was leaking while taking a shower. But besides that, the hotel was good. |

The room was small but very nice (we knew it would be small anyway when we booked so we didnt really mind), the matress was great, the bathroom very convenient-although small, the shower was big and had a door so the bathroom stayed dry! The location of the hotel is great. It got noisy at times from the people staying upstairs and the fact that the floors are obviously old. The thing we didnt like the most was one person of the staff. If it wasnt for him we would definetely describe the rest of the hotel staff as excellent. One night the phone in our room kept ringing at 6 in the morning. |

The hotel was clean and safe which are my two biggest criteria in picking hotels. If was also conveniently located. The bonus was the superb staff at the hotel. Any time we asked a question or made a request, there was never any hesitation or delay by the staff in fulfilling it. They all were fantastic!! There in nothing that I did not like about the hotel. The room was a bit on the smaller side, but that is not unusual for London hotel rooms. |

My son and I stayed 1 night. Bayswater underground @ 5min walking. We had room 8 at the first floor. Compact but all what you need. Coffee/thea in the room. Sanitory OK. Breakfast (not included in price) was ok.Overall ok. My subjective opinion ... good price/quality for a *** hotel. We would return. Carpet in the lift should be replaced urgently :-) |

The staff is really nice. I noticed some strands of hair on the sheets (twice) and in the shower (once). I think they are the cleaning lady's. Still, that's something people don't enjoy looking at. |

The room is ok for the value for money and convenient..The shower is great. Toilet really clean The phone bill too expensive. We have to call to Malaysia due to emergency around 6.30 am. and guess what the fee is 27 pound for 5 min call? the phone book stated its pound 1.30 per min for international calls but why is it more than pound 6.50? |

excellent location! The hotel is situated in quite place, but close to all main attractions and famous london parks are just minutes of walk away from the hotel. The appartment I stayed in was tiny, but clean and quite comfortable. The only negative thing is thin walls between adjoining appartments. At night I could hear ppl walking in the next appartment! But it didn't spoil the impression. |
