In a stunning conservation area of Victorian and Georgian townhouses, this family-run guesthouse is ideally located within a 5 minute walk of the beach and Ayr’s restaurants, bars and shops. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Bythesea has recently been carefully refurbished to provide a number of modern comforts while still retaining its original Victorian features. The bright and airy guest lounge provides the perfect setting to while away the evenings, while the enclosed patio area is available for a spot of sea air. Both areas are child friendly, and there are even toys for the little ones. Boasting a very central position, Bythesea is within easy walking distance of all of Ayr’s attractions, including a children’s indoor and outdoor activity center; Pirate Pete’s; Putting Green and Crazy Putting; an indoor health center; Gaiety Theaters; shops; restaurants; and Ayr’s beach. We were very pleased particulary about the cleanliness of our room etc and would definately recommend this to family and friends. My husband and I were on an overnight stay and having a break from our one year old son. We were looking for somewhere nice, quiet and relaxing and that is exactly what we got not to mention how reasonabily priced the room was. Thanks Diane Walker

The Staff could not have been nicer or more attentive to our needs. The ground floor room was ideal for my elderly mother and is right next to the dining room and lounge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go again

The staff were excellent and very accomodating, lovely rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Great location and the owners were very patient with four lively children!! Very understanding of a specialist diet for one of the kids and allowed us to cook for him in their own kitchen. Overall fantastic.

A totally comfortable and homely establishment for a very reasonable price. If you have the full Sottish breakfast, it is unlikely that you will need anything more until evening; the breakfast was extremely well presented and amazing.

I was early and the was no questions asked. Given key. The place was stunning. Room was very clean staff very friendly... Friendly clean and food was really nice. I will definitely stay again and recommend to all. Only thing I would change is the old Nescafe coffee. Gold blend is far better. :) plenty coffee shops about though.

Warm welcome from the owners and the biggest freshest breakfast I have ever seen. Short walk into town. Would recommend to others. Maybe good idea not to bring the dirty laundry through the breakfast room.
