Beautiful old building, in good condition. The location was great and we liked having off street parking. Breakfasts were very good. Staff very helpful. Bedding needs updating and pillows not comfortable. We had a bit of trouble finding it initially, but Internet instructions were good.

Beautiful old manor transformed into a hotel, nice garden, comfortable beds. Great location in city, all sites and city centre in walking distance. Insufficient parking, very small rooms, no hairdryer despite promise on website, breakfast not great, dirty dishes, very loud ventilator in bathroom, shower not working well.

Comfortable rooms, quiet location, fabulous breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. My reservation, via Booking.com, somehow got lost and didn't find its way on to the hotel's computer system. I have been using Booking.com for many years and this is the first time it has ever happened. I have no idea what caused it, but it was a really unnerving experience to turn up and be told my name was not on the list. Thank goodness there was a free room for us or we would have been in real trouble. I would like someone to follow this up, please, and let me know what happened and how I can ensure that it doesn't happen again.

Very close to the city centre, ideal for walking into Salisbury. Good sized room with nice en-suite bathroom, ideal for one or two nights. Bed was not very comfortable.

Warm and welcoming staff. Great location - quiet yet very convenient for central Salisbury. car park could do with a turning circle otherwise a reverse out onto the road is necessary.

Location very close to Salisbury city centre. Room comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was good. Shower cubicle needed some repair attention. Doors didn't close properly so made it difficult to get in and out.

I have to come up to Salisbury regularly and always stay at Byways, the staff are lovely, I always ask for the same room as its so comfy and they always make sure I get it! Lovely staff, peaceful location, ten min walk into town. Great! Nothing!

Staff v. helpful, room very clean and well maintained. Very quiet. Very convenient for old town centre. Free Car parking immediately adjacent to hotel. No shelf in shower for toiletries whilst showering. Not easy to find at night - perhaps a small discrete illuminated sign would help?

The room was nice and staff was very courteous. Their location is ideal for a quick walk into Salisbury. It was great value when you include their breakfast, free parking, and free WiFi. The best room we had during our trip. The road leading to the house is a bit intimidating. That is all there is to dislike.

The room was lovely and sunny - had french doors. Garden was lovely. Nice and quiet room, a good location in a nice part of Salisbury The shower was merely a trickle, and the TV was too small!!!

The house had plenty of interesting features - full of character. Friendly staff and perfect location; free parking and stroll down to the medieval centre of Salisbury. The beds were very comfortable - even the roll-away ones for our 2 daughters.
