We were impressed by the friendly attentiveness of the staff who took time to chat to us without being intrusive. The food was excellent as was the accommodation. |

The friendly staff, the clean, well-appointed rooms, the excellent food and the convenient position. The deep bowls (as opposed to flat plates) used for meals meant that if you let go of your cutlery, eg. to have a drink, the cutlery slid into the gravy every time - exasperating! |

The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, excellent service. The food in the Restaurant was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. En suite bathrooms were a little tired. The handwash solution in the bathroom was stale and the smell of it was overpowering. |

Breakfast was not an optional extra. This means that if you were catching the early ferry at 7am (only two ferries a day) breakfast would be missed. Room rate of £149 per night is excessive. |

Very friendly and accommodating staff, rooms were very clean and comfortable, breakfast very good too The quality of the TV reception in rooms a long way down the corridor and hence away from the distribution equipment was poor to the point of being unwatchable on some channels, also the door locks are temperamental at times but that just made it entertaining in the late evening! |

Stornoway's largest hotel is closest to both the ferry and the airport, providing an ideal base for a trip to the islands and priding itself on a warm welcome. |
