The staff were mainly good, the breakfast was well cooked and everything was clean.
Waited about 2hours for our table, even though we booked it months in advance, the orders were wrong, one of our party got wet when a member of staff knocked over a full pint glass.
The room The beds The club The food
The jacuzzi (cold)had too much chlorine in and was painful when bubbling. The hot jacuzzi looked mucky but a lot of other people were using it.
Arrived late on a Sunday evening and were given a warm and friendly welcome by the receptionist on duty. Room was large and comfortable with all expected facilities. Service was prompt and efficient and breakfast was fine with a good selection of food and beverage options.
Car parking can be a bit difficult with distance from reception a problem in bad weather. My wife had a fall on the slope from reception to the car park on Monday morning due to wet conditions and fallen leaves on the driveway.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Very nice bedrooms, all the staff were great, breakfast was really good, will definitely go back to this hotel in the future.
I enjoyed my stay mainly because of the close proximity to Bristol Airport. It was a great one night experience.
We send pre orders for our meals which were all wrong.
The egg at breakfast taste funny on mentioning this to the kitchen it was removed. I think it was off
A member of the waiting staff called angie
I had arranged with the manager for afternoon tea to be in the main resturant. After double checking this was possible this didn't happen. I sent a preorder with all our meals and they were still wrong.
Very friendly helpful staff. Immaculately clean rooms, tasty welcome cookie
no hairdryer. Reception smelt musty/ of drains .Corridors dingy and horrible dirty looking wrinkled carpet.
Comfortable room. Extremely comfortable bed. Leisure facilities.
Soul less bar area. Food in Marco Pierre Whites was very poor.
It's a really lovely hotel with good food on site
When we opened the bedroom window and we were infested with flys dead and alive/ We complained at reception but the seemed like the couldn't care less. It ruined my freinds wedding and mad me feel sick.
The location and building was impressive to say the least and ideal for a special occasion.
Having to wait almost an hour for a food order. Apparently the order was frozen between receiving and the kitchen! Only when one asked what was the delay did they realise that the order hadn´t reached the kitchen!. Also a member of staff in the dining room dropped a tray of glasses not just once but twice resulting in the Manager apologising for the unfortunate instances!
Sunday lunch was excellent Reception were helpful and friendly
Dark decor Poor lighting in the hotel room Over decorated with to many pictures of Marco Pierre White Weird choice of pictures featuring farm animals
It is a very well appointed and located hotel with lovely views.
Staff could not find the booking for approximately twenty minutes. Two rooms ordered, one with twin beds and disabled facilities, the other a double. Beds were the wrong way round and it, literally, took several hours and a number of attempts to get it right. There must be at least one cretin on the staff.
The pipes in the wall kept us awake until 2:15 am when we couldn't stand it further and had to change rooms. Second room quiet, but got less than 4 hours sleep as had to catch a flight. Why wasn't the first room serviced by maintenance, or not rented out? Not happy, at all.
We stayed here for the first time. We are a young (gay) couple, and it was the first time we had used a Hilton hotel. The staff were fabulous; polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was excellent and not over-priced (we ate at the loung restaurant in the club). The facilities were of an excellent standard, very clean. We spent most of our check out day in the spa, we checked out at 12 and left the spa at 6. We found the alcohol to be affordable, too, and not too expensive. We were actually surprised at how little the bill was when we checked out. Would definitely visit again!
Got a good deal, rooms were nice and tidy, out of the way location but doesn't take long to get to. The spa was lovely, not too busy. Good food, prices weren't too bad for a posh 'restaurant' although MPW is a little full of himself.
There were two weddings going on the night we were there, the disco was going on underneath the nice restaurant, struggled to keep a conversation going. The table next to us actually complained about the noise. We went to bed just before midnight but were up until at least 1AM because of the music. Then the wedding guests who happened to be staying in the hotel decided to have a 15 minute shouting match right outside of our room at about 2AM. The whole weekend was a little confusing, £30 per person, per night was added to our 'pre-authorisation' bill, which was fine but the explanation as to why wasn't very clear, I thought it was an extra charge, luckily it was removed upon check out. No explanation of how to use the pool/spa next door, do we take our own towels, locker locks, are they provided? We took our own towels and room key, to be told towels are provided if we're hotel guests and we need the outer card part that comes with the keys also, so back to the room to drop off towels and pick up the extra key. The safe wouldn't unlock after putting a code in, luckily I was testing it before I actually put my phone/wallet in there!
Hotel in a beautiful setting. Free parking on site. Very friendly staff to welcome you with a warm cookie !! We used the pool and spa facilities the staff there were more than helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable and quiet, no sound of other guests in next door rooms which is unusual. Breakfast was very good staff there very welcoming. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommended this hotel
I cant fault this hotel and we have stayed in many,
They really need to get new pillows for the beds, they were flat where they had been used so much, and some of the decor was a bit shabby
The welcome from the staff Facilities Comfort and the location
No hairdryer in the room Smell going down for breakfast -
the outside of building, looked very grand. food from the bar.
corridors on some levels especially where the kitchen is very dirty carpets and walls. our door had marks as its been broken into! room- cracked sink in bathroom, shower door not closing because rubber haging off, paint peeling from above shower, shower head broke, not clean enough in shower, marks on walls in room, curtain voile ripped, deffently not a delux room.
The views were wonderful, the breakfasts very good, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.
This wasn't the hotels fault but guests that attend functions and go back to their rooms st 2am forget there are other people in the rooms they walk by that really don't want to listen to their loud ramblings.
Marco Pierre Whites restaurant was a lovely surprise for us
Beautiful location Stunning views Cookie on arrival Luscious room Friendly staff Good value menu Great breakfast option
There were 2 weddings on - being on the 2nd floor we endured the 'doof-doof' of music for a while. It appeared to be a busy weekend as we couldn't get the time we wanted for the restaurant so had to order room service which was preferable but as we'd been drinking other nearby restuarants were NOT in walking distance.
Comfortable room, quiet (even though there was a wedding and a hen party at the same time).
On the first night the restaurant staff were very pushed. The restaurant floor is very slippery.
