The location is quiet and the rooms comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful
Rooms a bit cold on arrival. Not near anything, so eating choices limited.
Lovely clean and modern room, with a great view, although it was a little odd (but funny) that there was a window from the bedroom into the bathroom! Staff were great and very pleasant, food service was good. Room service was quick and not too expensive.
The spa facilities were incorporated within the gym, a few mins walk from the hotel. The pool and sauna/steam room area wasn't as nice as I expected but still pleasant. It had more of a leisure club/gym feel about it, so wasn't as relaxing.
reception was excellent our case taken to room on arrival. all very efficient everything clean and tidy and welcoming
Our room was beautiful, the staff were wonderful and the food in the restaurant was exquisite. Room service arrived promptly and was equally as tasty.
The price for breakfast was a bit steep, the steam room was unfortunately out of order at the time of our visit and breakpoint chlorination was not being achieved in the spa, leading to us both having sore eyes and itchy skin.
First class hotel
The best meal j have ever had
Booked a deluxe king room but still felt quite small
Restaurant and Garden
Location for where I was working, got a good offer on line for a three day stay , standard room with large powerful and hot shower, good choice of food for breakfast.easy check out.
Parking was away from reception but lots of steps to climb, had a deal and stayed three nights and needed to be back for four nights the following week but could not match or seem to attempt to match the offer to invite me to return so I am now staying somewhere else close by , breakfast is served until mid morning I went down about 8.30-9.00 each day excellent choice still available but Bain Marie hot food could have been hotter.
Think it's a little unfair that paying guests with young children can't use the pool until 11am!!! Would have been nice to use the pool before checking out. We pay for this facility as part of the booking so find this very unfair and thus I think changing the time to 10am should be looked at. This would meet the needs of both your paying customer in my opinion. Thanks
Very good comfortable room with nice bath and shower.
Strange TV setup with an odd on demand service which I didn't mess around with too much and just went with the radio for as long as I was there.
Beautiful surroundings, very welcoming and friendly staff
What i wasn't particularly keen on was a wedding that was going on at the time. Maybe it would be better idea to have another bar area to cater for this? It was a very special occasion and we felt it was hijacked slightly by the party, we just wanted to relax and have a relatively quite drink.
I stayed at Double Tree for a wedding which was being held at Cadbury House. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a wide choice for breakfast which was high quality. My room was luxurious and specious, it had a large television and shower, plus the bed was very comfy.
None that I can think of.
location, staff and swimming pool and leisure facilities
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
First visit Christmas 2013 very good and matched the billings for this grade of hotel. Secound and Third visit Christmas period 2014 rooms had a smell of drains / dampness coridor on level 7 smelt like school diners.Chair in room 511 very stained heating system noisey but efficent / great view over channel. Staff appear inexperianced / lacking knowledge breakfast spoilt by loud jazz music tape wobbly table.
Staff were helpful and friendly Breakfast was amazing Pool, gym and spa were great Lovely location and grounds
Soundproofing of the rooms wasn't good Early closing of pool on Bank Holidays
Location. Food. Staff and overall standard of accommodation. Access to the spa, which is great.
Carpets in the accommodation corridors need tightening to remove rucks as this spoils the overall appearance and attention to detail which spoils an otherwise wholly enjoyable experience.
Felt really comfortable& relaxed & nothing was too much trouble for the staff
Great rooms, lovely spa and health club. Mpw restaurant. Nice setting if you want to be out in the country..
Mpw restaurant pricey and a bit to much made of the whole MPW brand thing. Big venue for weddings so expect busy weekends
Clean and comfortable ! Quite close to airport but quite far
Big wedding going on
First class service
air conditioning in room was noisy
Only stayed one night but excellent for Bristol airport.
One lift and if weddings are on its very busy - we waited almost ten mins with luggage to get the lift to the 6th floor
It was awkward that the spa was separate from the hotel; I tried to phone a number for times to check opening hours and couldn't get directly through to the spa facilities. I also phoned the hotel to ask about food options as we arrived late at the hotel after work. I got through to the hotel they informed me they had no food/bar facilities open (late arrival) however when we got to the hotel this was incorrect. Having eaten breakfast at the hotel, then a wonderful evening at the Marco Pierre restaurant (no other food all day) I woke in the night with sickness all night and the following day. Our breakfast and lunch had to be cancelled, the hotel didn't sympathise or compensate in any way, even charging us fro breakfast that I couldn't eat. This ruined our weekend away and no one since has contacted us about this issue.
Staff Resturant Spa Bed Room
The thing I liked was the accommodation looked nice
Lots of noise music heard from upstairs at 1am in early hours of morning and no help with suitcase to room and bed very uncomfortable and felt I paid a lot of money for this room which I felt wasent worth that price
