    The reception service was excellent, the room was impressive and the grounds are stunning, gym facilities were awesome.

    Room was in a noisy location, bar and restaurant service was slow and disorganised. The restaurant food didn't really live up to expectation in either the hotel or spa.

    Rooms very comfortable and good location. Nice cookies

    Marco Pierre white restaurant was a dreadful experience not to be repeated. Waited 50 minutes for our starters then another 20 mins for our mains. If I was staying at the hotel again I would eat at a local pub

    Restaurant manager top class. Great service.

    Room not prepared. Room not clean Shower broke. No towels, ran out in leisure facilities..

    The staff were friendly and helpful. The late check in is helpful and late check out is good as we traveled long distances to get to the hotel. Great to have spa and pool too.

    We stayed two nights on different occasions the second night our room looked like it was quickly cleaned not as good as the previous. Breakfast is too expensive.

    The room décor was up-to date, fresh quality towels and a great shower. Cookies on arrival... what more can you want?

    Someone was smoking in their room on arrival, however reception was quick to deal with this as we came back with no trace of a smoky smell.

    Friendliness & efficiency of staff Sports facilities Location Views Breakfast

    Heavy doors on bedrooms which slammed shut all too easily making a loud noise despite every effort to be quiet!

    Access is pretty good from the M5.

    Some areas a bit scruffy. Noisy delivery area for kitchens right outside our window. They could have made better use of a stunning location.

    The very expensive dinner in the restaurant was not good. I had only 5 prawns in my prawn cocktail. We both had a fillet steak which was fine, but the chips, and grilled tomatoes had obviously been standing waiting for quite a long time. The onion rings were greasy & tough & inedible. When the waitress asked if everything had been o.k. we pointed out that it hadn't, to which she just replied 'oh'. No-one came to discuss our dissatisfaction. We won't be visiting again.

    Kids loved pool but had to wait until 11 to access it. Room good size and very comfy. Staff very friendly.

    Kids were not allowed in swim pool until 11 am and check out was 12.

    The staff were lovely , polite and friendly.Our room was on the first floor and the view was of some forest...nothing special. It was clean , and the air-conditioning worked very well, the bath and shower were great too. The breakfast was also good for choice, however the orange juice was made out of a powder , it wasn't fresh:-(

    We didn't like the restaurant at the breakfast- the staff were lovely and very helpful, but we mean the actual interior, the black leather table clothes had massive holes in them and the staff didn't seem to be bothering to cover them up with the white table sheets, they just put the plates and glasses on it, it just looked awful. We really think that the hotel could afford buy new table covers to give impression of good quality hotel rather than the opposite..just a note.

    The friendliness of the staff

    The people next to us at Breakfast conducting a 'board meeting' it was most off putting all we could hear was one woman droning on and on!!

    The Living Room

    It's unbelievable that there isn't a comfortable chair in the room to sit snd read. TVonly watchable from in bed. "Exquisitely designed rooms" - I think not. Execrably designed is nearer the mark.

    Excellent breakfast choice Lovely spa and gym

    Didn't like being charged 10% service charge at the Marco Pierre White steakhouse, I would have tipped at least this if not more but it shouldn't be obligatory. Otherwise not cheap but worth it
