It is a classic honest traditional English hotel. In my opinion it is not a true 5-star hotel by today's standards. A 4-star designation would be more appropriate. 4 star prices would be a very good value for money.

I like the location of the hotel just 5 minutes from Knightsbridge shopping stores and the Hyde park which is one of the best parks in the world Some of the services were not provided, for example there was Internet connection to my room in the 5th floor and some of TV channels not working. The rooms are over priced compared to the size for example I paid 309 GBP for a very small room (17 m2). In my opinion the hotel should deserve 4 stars not 5 stars level.

Helpful polite staff, who knew their jobs. The fact that we couldn't sit in the lounge areas without booking despite being resident. (places were reserved, but you raely saw them filled)

Beliggenhed og personale i receptionen samt morgenbuffeten. - Hotellet er lidt overpriced og "støvet" - og værelserne er ikke super, men har et acceptabelt niveau - hotellet lever helt klart på deres fortid og historie - og det er derfor hyggeligt. Alle de skrækkelige ternede tæpper - det er lidt ulækkert og man oplever lidt at man spekulerer over at man er "middag" for en trisillion støvmider rundt på gangene.Hotellet er ikke et 5 star hotel sammenlignet med andre hoteller - højst 3.5 stars.

E' un albergo non grande, tranquillo; si sente il calore della dimora inglese. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. La posizione è ottima e centrale e ben servita dai mezzi pubblici. La zona in cui è ubicato è indubbiamente molto bella.

Super professioneel team! Je wordt als super vip behandeld, ook al blijf je maar 1 nacht. Het ontbijt was fantastisch en heel uitgebreid. De prijs die je er voor betaalt, is het meer dan de moeite waard. Ik wil zeker opnieuw in dit hotel overnachten. Je betaalt een beetje meer, maar je krijgt er zoveel voor in de plaats. Ik behoud hier een topherinnering aan!

The room was very cold because the heating system was down. However, they brought us a portable radiator. There was also a problem with the fire and door alarms. First the one in our room went off for no apparent reason and they couldn't get it to shut down for at least 15 minutes. Next, the corridor door started beeping at 8 in the morning and beeped for a good 2 hours. When we informed the reception desk they seemed unaware. I think the hotel, as excellent as it is, has a general maintenance problem!

Ligging was prima voor ons doel nl shopping. Personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kamer was netjes en ruim, maar saai. Bedden piepen en kraken. Gehorig: houten vloeren, je hoort de 'bovenbuur' lopen en mensen in aangrenzende kamer. Hotel ligt aan drukke kruising, raam kun je niet openzetten, teveel lawaai.

“I chose this hotel as we were travelling with 2 ten year olds and it is difficult to find a nice hotel in good location with adjoining rooms or a room with enough beds. This hotel was perfect and the outstanding thing for us was the staff. They were so friendly.
