With a spectacular seafront location a short walk from the center of town, this hotel is located next to Venue Cymru (North Wales Theatre and Conference Centre). Following a full but careful renovation, Cae Mor combines a beautiful blend of Victorian features with tasteful decor and furnishings. Crystal chandeliers, a traditional Victorian fireplace and soft leather sofas create a comfortable place to relax in style. The hotel’s restaurant is small but intimate, and combines original features with modern high-back leather chairs and contemporary silverware and dishes. Hotel Rooms: 23

Near to the theatre. We were upgraded to a superior room which was very nice.Hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good and nicely served. Standed of evening meal was not very good, and there was not much choice. No cold water in room 17 on third floor on the Sunday morning. Unable to have a shower, and my husband was unable to shave.

We loved Cae Mor , it is a lovely hotel , we found our room to be very comfortable , clean with a lovely view of the coast. The service and meals were excellent. The breakfasts were amazing , very fresh and tasty and delivered very quickly by excellent staff. We had a wonderful weekend away in Llandudno and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. So much so that we are going back for a theatre break in January , because it was a surprise to find that we were so near the theatre . We will be recommending Cae Mor to everyone . There was nothing we didn't like about Cae Mor except for one little thing , on our first night's dinner they had run out of steak and unfortunately it happened on the second night too . We managed to be in time for steak on the second night , maybe enough could have been ordered for all guests ?? otherwise the meals were perfect . Just a little thing , please do not print this comment , because we read some reviews before we came and could not believe some of the adverse comments once we had arrived , none of them were correct !!!!

Centrally located. Our room was not part of the main hotel but still very pleasant, clean, tidy and compact. Did not have chance to try any evening meals but the dining room is very nice and the menu looked great.

The location was good I chose the superior room for luxury and at best it matched what most hotels would call standard. The rooms creaked, the table was wobbly, the toilet systern kept running, and the breakfast was limited for anyone with any special requests. The hotel did not justufy the prices they were charging. Having said that it would be perfect for a holiday trip and guess the price would reflect that for holiday makers, but not brilliant for business trips.

The location to Venue Cymru is fabulous, town centre is also well within walking distance. Staff and food were second to none and plentiful. Room was exceptionally clean and very spacious and although we only stayed for one night we will surely pick this hotel again in the future. Will recommend to family/friends.

The bed was comfortable. Hotel convenient for the theatre next door...we had a great evening with Tommy Steele playing "Scrooge"...try and see him...brilliant. We found a lovely restaurant in the town - "The Seahorse" at 7, Church Walks...not far from the pier...excellent food, friendly family run establishment...it was my Partner's birthday...so we celebrated very well there. Give yourself a treat! Hotel looked "tired"..carpets faded and an unusual smell emanated from the dining room...stale fish??? Unmatched lightbulbs in the dining room and some not working...staff looked fed-up...receptionist acted as a waitress for the evening and whilst we were eating our starters, leant across my partner to put cutlery on table...long hair draped across his food. Dinner was disappointing. We had not booked but the waitress said she would see if she could "fit us in" (there were two empty tables). Our main course was Salmon with a sauce poured all over it...the vegetables consisted of one new potato each, one carrot between us, two sprigs of broccoli and one sprig of cauliflower..my partner had that and he said it was uncooked.!! Not quite fitting the description on the hotel website. "Our Dining Room successfully combines period features with contemporary furnishings and offers an imaginative Table d’hote Menu. Our talented head chef, uses the finest fresh ingredients, many sourced locally, to create modern dishes to tempt even the most discerning palate. Vegetarian meals are always available and special diets can be catered for. We offer a full and varied Table d’Hote menu which changes on a daily basis to suit all tastes." Most of the diners (including us) were off to the theatre that is next door to the hotel. The ensuite bathroom could have done with an extractor fan to get rid of the steam from the shower. Plus extra towel rails as only room for two towels...we had to hang the bath towels on the shower cubicle. Curtains not fitting properly at the edge of the window...so we had light streaming in...we tried to adjust the curtains but to no avail.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I couldn't believe how lovely the hotel was as it was such good value for money. We took our dogs with us and it was an excellent location as we could take them for a walk on the beach over the road.

Excellent location, on the sea front & next door but one to Venue Cymru. Staff were friendly & helpful. Great breakfast choices & plenty of it. Unable to comment on the evening meal as we did not sample this. 'Adequate' is how I have described this hotel to those who have asked. The bed was comfortable but so noisy; it woke us up each time we turned over. The floor boards were squeaky too, but this is to be expected in accommodation of this age. The internal lock on the door was not working & the door only closed if it was given a good slam.

“The locatiion of this hotel is superb as it is on the beach front with only a short walk around the corner to the towns high street. Decour and fittings are all in good modern taste with a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all polite, well presented and helpful. In particular, i found the young lady receptionist a credit to the establishment. My room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning had the usual choice of full english, toast and cereals.” Richard, Biggleswade |
