Perfect location hotel room was really comfy staff were brilliant and so helpful. Food is superb no complaints at all. Would recommend to all. And we will definitely be staying there again.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were generous and well-cooked. Dinner in the evening was also good and the wine choice suited us very well.We liked the many original features . Having family nearby, we will probably return.
Although clean, it was a little shabby and quite cold. Our en-suite was particularly shabby and only had a small hand-held shower over the bath. Water pressure was low. The proprietor has told us that this room is due for refurbishment in the near future, so that will provide the improvement.
nothing not to like thankyou
Loved the place,staff delightful,warm cosy room,clean & tidy.
Neither my wife or I are 'foodies',but on the pub scale the food would only be 2 out of 5 for the evening meal.Breakfast choice was limited, but OK.
Lovely helpful staff. Beams in bedroom. Attractive exterior. Central location in town. Parking.
There is a comfortable, friendly, informal atmosphere about the hotel which makes it feel more like "home" than a business enterprise.
I find it difficult to climb stairs these days, so the impressive staircase, dating from antiquity, was something of a demand. But not too much so, and it formed an acceptable element in what was, after all, a piece of history.
Good food Friendly and helpful staff
Limited parking space, arrived late and spaces taken by bar users, so parked in street several 100 meters away.
Friendly staff Excellent table service Excellent breakfast Comfortable, clean room
Atmospheric old property, good location. Good value break. staff courteous and helpful. Food good and plentiful
Dinner menu a little limited if you're staying several days
Friendly staff, central position in village. Noticed lots of walks promoted at desk.
Friendly staff, nice pub meal in bar, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere. Nice rooms with all you need. Parking at back of hotel.
Very friendly staff, spacious room and bathroom and all nice and clean.
Thought the evening food served was a but average. Would prefer quilts to blankets and bedspreads.
We were a group of Motorcyclists and they provided a Garage for our Motorcycles overnight
Typical old coaching inn with good modern bathroom.
friendly staff, very helpful, good food and beer ,hotel room was good. no complaints
A very friendly welcome. My wife who is partially disabled was helped upstairs without a moments hesitation
The quirkiness of it, old beams and sloping floors. Hands on friendly staff.
Our bed in room 4 was sloping the 'wrong' way and we didn't sleep well. It needs a couple of books under the head end to raise it up a couple of inches.
The hotel let me to have breakfast earlier than their usual time. Very good wifi available in my room.
It is an old hotel. The furnishing is a bit dated. I had a shower in the evening and I got hot water. But when I tried to wash my hair at 6:30am, there was no hot water. So it seems hot water is only available in certain time of the day.
The staff were very friendly and helpful during the whole visit. The food was excellent. Very good homecooking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Very helpful staff -
Lack of hot water at peak time
friendly and helpful staff. Good food, good interesting local beer, very interesting building.
Old world charm
Dining facilities inadequate. Lack of hot water in room.
The fact that the evening meal was first class bandup very hot, the same goes for breakfast best ever and hot not just warm. Well done chef and staff. ;;//
Beautiful part of Wales. We were made to feel very welcome and what a superb breakfast! Thank you.
Housekeeping needs attention - broken door knob on room door.
