very nice room, good area
upgraded to a double from a small because my wife has a disability and needs the space but found the room still very small and there wasn't any lift
Spacious room, well equiped and nicely furnished. Heating system excellent and bed very comfortable. Parking convenient.
Room clean but layer of dust on floor and skirting under dressing table. Bathroom stark, no blind, and cold. Breakfast good quality but limited choices. Needed more staff when busy
There is a bar under the hotel. I can't fall asleep at night.
Excellent hotel and location, good bar next door with happy hour, parking at the rear, metro down the road. Look no further book this hotel I am very picky trust me you wont be disappointed.
Location very good, service good, great value for money
The bathroom smelt very foisty, really surprised at this as it looks like a new bathroom fitted.
Comfortable bed. Breakfast ok but just continental at the weekend.
Arrived at hotel no parking spaces but they moved a staff car for us to get in.They gave us a key to a room which smelt of sewage and was cold! They did give us another room but was still cold but better. In middle of night people coming in drunk shouting which woke us up.
Restaurant staff in Sohe where fantastic, very friendly.
Upon arrival we found receptionist to be very hard to communicate with she honestly didn't seem to know much about the facilities at all. Breakfast was also disappointing if you start breakfast is served 7.30-10am that means you should be able to walk in at one minute to ten and still get service exactly the same as you would at 7am, food and condiments should also be replenished throughout service. We arrived for breakfast at 9.45am and where told that we needed to be quick as they where taking the breakfast things away to set up for lunch service, I don't believe this was the opion of the staff but maybe something they are told/taught.
I couldnt believe the price of this hotel at £65, booked on Valentine's Day and including breakfast (a very tasty breakfast!). So stylish, modern and clean with good sized rooms and bathrooms with a huge double shower! Also the bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up on Sunday morning. The lady on reception was so helpful and friendly as were the staff serving breakfast offering to help my partner carry our breakfast upstairs for breakfast in bed. Really have no faults with this hotel and is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in and in such a great location on osmund road in jesmond within walking distance of all the great bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you for such a great stay.
Lovely people who run the hotel nothing was a problem and the rooms was spot on !!
Nothing to not like
The whole experience
Was all good
Lovely hotel in a nice location with a good nightlife. Will definitely be returning :-)
Can't find fault!
Big telly, comfortable bed, staff very helpful.
Bath room very cold, had heating on but still cold.
Everything was amazing! Perfect location, amazing staff and great comfort.
There was no wifi access in my room 308! Apart from this all was great.
The Rooms have been refurbished to a very good standard. The TV's are of a generous size to each room and the picnic basket of teas maid items was a nice touch. So different from last year when nothing was level, everything placed on the glass tray in the en-suite rolled into the sink and drawers fell away in your hand. The "new" rooms are a joy.
Pity about the breakfast. I was expecting a continental but it desperately needs a bit more variety. If you are above 2m in height beware of the featured copper light fixture in reception. You ARE going to walk into it!! (nice fitting but hanging too low)
hotel having a refit, what has already been carried out is to a very high standard
Rooms have been refurbished very recently to a very good modern quality.
Parking is an issue
Continental breakfast was terrible. The only thing that could have improved our stay would have been a cooked full english breakfast !
Location is good, 2 minute walk to metro stop, clean and friendly.
Info in room shows that during week they serve full English as an option for breakfast which my partner wanted, however at breakfast on morning told that English was never available and only continental, therefore information in room in conflicting. also, TV had no remote so could only be controlled from buttons on side meaning there's no chance off lying in bed to watch if you aren't settled on one channel.
The Standard of the room was excellent except for temperature, Food Excellent, Staff Excellent
Car park was a problem with limited spaces. Room was freezing on arrival and took two days to warm up. Small heater on wall was insufficient.
The restaurant very tasty cuisine and lovely staff, decor was love and the friendly doorman and barstaff
The receptionist smoking outside while we waited at reception. The room was freezing, and we had to sit on an angle on the toilet as my legs wedged up on the shower cubicle
lovely modern hotel, just been refurbished, excelent choice for breakfast, great location.
Location Room decoration
The hotel was still under going some renovation. Decorators, builders, plasterers in the walkways with dust sheets on the stairs. not mentioned on this website when i made the booking. Booked an Exec Double was given a Standard.. Power went off in the room in the morning with water dripping through the bathroom ceiling. Bathroom was freezing despite heating turned on, floor too cold to stand on. shower sprayed water out of the cubicle and onto the floor. Offered use of another room in the morning to get showered and this one looked as though it had previously been used also... smelt with a dirty toilet. Breakfast was nothing special, cheap bread, coffee etc and the staff could at least have pretended to be joyful in thier work. Had to revisit reception to pick up a TV remote as they dont leave them in the room or tell you this in the room info, speant half an hour trying to turn the tv off. Insufficient complimentary tea and coffee. On checkout they were more bothered about needing that room for that night as they were fully booked. I was thanked for my patience... To sum it up - dont bother as they obviously dont appreciate their paying guests, you know the people who make thier business possible.
Room has lovely
Room was not cleaned overnight, tea/coffee not topped up. Staff at breakfast were overworked
- good location - facilities ok (renovated rooms)
- renovation is taking place at this hotel at the moment. No information about this up front - poor customer service. I stayed there 2 nights and heating was not working (frost during the night). The receptionist didn't want to change my room but gave me a heater insted. There is lots of hotels on the same street- I think I'll try my luck elsewhere. Poor customer service is the best way to loose clients.
the rooms where very modern and large enough. Bathroom facilities were very good and modern. The breakfast was continental, but very good, although my husband would have preferred full English.
bump bump music from the bar downstairs until the early hours, but we were on the first floor, and it was the weekend, although it didn`t stop us sleeping.
