Jesmond is great so vibrant and buzing and handy to get in and out of the city centre. I raised a complaint when I checked out on Saturday morning. I was told the manager would call within an hour. It is now almost Tueday lunchtime and I m still waiting to hear. The hotel wsa incredibly noisy throughout Friday night. This started at 23.30pm and continued to almost 6 o'clock. It sounded like furniture was being thrown about and smashed. Things were very rowdy and disruptive. As a soul traveller this was a little bit unnerving. There were older clients at brekfast I imagine they hated it. I look forward to hearing from the Cairns hotel.

Lack of, or limited dining facility in the evening. Had to dine at another hotel in Jesmond Road at 8.00pm. Breakfast room was good. This can be used as dining room in the evening.

The hotel has good location, close to the city centre and loads of pubs and restaurants around which provide high range of selection to have lunch/dinner or simply to go out. It is value for money. Our room was nice and clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Food was good and plentiful. Would stay again and recommend it it anyone. My only concern was the level of noise from the bar next door. If I need to stay again, I will ask for a rear bedroom

My only thing would be to have a decent seat to sit on in the room, but that applys to most hotels.

What did we like? Not a lot. The reputation of any hotel can be made or spoiled by the guests on any particular night. Our fellow residents did not do anything to enhance the experience of our stay. One bright spark decided to smoke a cigarette in his room, thus setting the fire alarm off at 3am. There were comings and goings of residents all night, with little regard to the fact that the rest of us were asleep. The room facilities were ok, but we felt that these had been installed to "tick boxes" and the actual fabric of the hotel ignored. I.E. draughty sash windows, uneven creaky floorboards in the corridors, thin walls between the bedrooms etc. Every time someone went past our room, the door moved and we felt as though they were coming in to join usl

Me and my friend came over to Newcastle from Carlisle to see a show at the metro radio arena. We both thought the reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Very approachable. Comfy beds, very nice shower room and the cleanliness of the room was impeccable. Definitely stay there again. :-) xx Nothing it was all great!!
