Cairn Hotel  

The rooms were very clean and modern especially the bathroom

Breakfast not being included in the price.

It was not far from the station, I could reach it easily in the early morning.The room was very comfortable, the staff was kind and helpful.The price of the room was ok.

My room was in the basement , I had to go through a kind of labyrint and was a bit difficult for me to find the room, as well as the way out.

My cousin and I were going to Edinburgh Playhouse and the hotel was near the theatre just a short walk away The room was clean and comfortable,

The bath room is clean and there is a bath tab, not only shower. The room is not large but clean and comfortable.

I stayed in a single room. It was not large, but still acceptable.

It was very convenient as we were going to a show at the playhouse theatre.

We thought the breakfast poor

Good location. For £48, it was good value, but I would not have paid the full room price. Clean modern en-suite and good bed, though the hotel itself is a little thread-bare.

No noise-proofing whatsoever. I was kept up by rowdy people on the street and could hear my next door neighbour snoring. The curtains were very thin as well, so no chance of sleeping past sunrise.

Very nice single room, it had everything I needed. Excellent location. Quiet and quaint.

The location was fantastic. I had been impressed with reviews I had read on TripAdvisor and knew that the Cairn Hotel would be nice. My room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom was brand new. The shortbread biscuits on the tea and coffee tray in the room were a lovely touch. The beds were perfectly comfortable. I had a ground floor room and was not woken by any loud noise or traffic. Despite its central location, it is in a very quiet side street which makes it perfect for being in the heart of the city yet far from the madding crowd. I will definitely stay there again.

No hairdryer in the room, although one could be borrowed from reception if required. Having said that, you can pick up a cheap travel one for 8 quid these days, so I just did that and now have a spare hairdryer for next time I come up to Edinburgh!

Central location. Small room but with a large bathroom with shower over bath. Facilities adequate for 2 night stay.Beds clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Would definately consider staying here again.
