Excellent location; friendly staff; very Scottish; very efficient service in the busy bar and restaurant; comfortable and quiet room Many people would say this is a good thing but the portions of food in the restaurant are huge!!

The food at the hotel is amazing, really nice atmosphere and the staff are very helpful and polite. Was quite loud around our room after 12am, television was terrible and no-one told us the quiz was in a different room!

The food and live music were great. The local people were also very friendly and welcoming. No double glazing and that left the room cold even though there was a radiator besides the door. We had a plate of bar snacks on Friday evening that included mini quiche, onion rings and sausage rolls. We did not ask for this and although there was a large plate we were then charged £5.95 on check out. A bit cheeky I thought since we hadn't ordered it. But the food in the main restaurant was excellent and fairly priced.

This family-owned hotel was welcoming from the minute we walked in. Great staff who were only too keen to help with queries, especially when we had to organise to stay for another night at short notice. The hotel has a warm, lived-in and very comfortable feeling to it that suits its position in the winter skiing industry. Huge, good value meals are a bonus, as is the cosy bar, which is an Aviemore nighttime attraction. The beds were very comfortable.

Lovely Highland hotel where we were made to feel very welcome. Staff were exceptionally nice and changed our room from a boooked twin to a double on request. Food in the resturant was hearty and good with abundant portion sizes. We would definitely stay there again if we needed accommodation in the area. Highland hospitality at its best.

The Cairngorm is immediately opposite Aviemore station, so very convenient for those wanting to visit without a car. There is an hourly bus from the station to Cairngorm Mountain. The Cairngorm Hotel has all you need to enjoy the area - restaurant, bar and lounge offering food, drink and relaxation at all times of the day. Rooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable with en suite facilities. Restaurant staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude; en suite bathrooms are built into a larger room, so a bit on the small side but none of this deters from the overall quality.

Staff very welcoming, efficent and excellent restaurant in the hotel - very popular as reknown for quality and quantity. Stayed there 3 times now and always highest standard. Great breakfast option and cooked per individual. Bath room tiny - too small to be comfortable. No lock / latch on inside of door to use when going to bed / for safety

That it was central to the railway station if one did not come by car. That within walking distance were several easy walks, and that the staff were extremely helpful and informative. The service was excellent.

The staff are just so very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They really care that you enjoy your visit. The location is great. The hotel is just so homely and welcoming. The decor is spot on. The rooms are so comfortable. We have been several times now and have enjoyed every visit. The food is excellent. Everything was just lovely. We can't find anything to complain about.

We have stayed before, it is a little bit on the pricey side but we love the location and is usually our bit of comfort after camping. The breakfast is fab. The room we had this time was very small for a double and at full price is a little steep.

Excellent traditional Scottish hotel. Great situation in the town, in the centre and yet quiet. Lively bar and pleasant restaurant. Dog allowed. Sister hotel to the Garth in Grantown, just as good. As is often the case in hotels, the bed was too firm.

The staff, the service, the food, the location, the atmosphere, and the fact that they allow dogs. Only downside is if your are allocated a room in the extension wing the walls are very thin, you can hear even normal conversation in the adjacent room. Would definately stay here again but would request a room in the main part of the hotel.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, the service was excellent. The food was really good both in quality and the way it was cooked and presented Vegetarian menu was great. So nice to stay in a more traditional style hotel in a building in keeping with the area. Bed matress a bit hard.

Stayed at the hotel on an internet deal 70 for couple - any dearer and would not be affordable on my salary. Good staff - restaurant affordable and well prepared. House wine reasonably priced - any dearer and we would have eaten elsewhere. Will stay agian if we can get the same deal.
