The staff were extremely professional, attentive but not overly so - just right. The food was excellent in the resturant. The hotel was very hot. |

Quiet location but close to Norwich Record office for research. Also close to Roman site - lovely walk around the old walls. Good to have Wifi, and room service great for breakfast. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment, peeling paint around shower and taps in sink made atrocious noises! |

Lovely country house hotel in beautiful grounds. Very friendly and helpful staff. Was given free upgrade to room with four-poster bed! Good quality food, reasonably priced. Excellent internet connection. Very easy to get into Norwich by car. Heating didn't seem to be on and room was a little chilly. No lift so not suitable for disabled. |

The setting is lovely - the dining area and general areas very good. The electrics in the room left a bit to be desired. 2 sockets didn't work and the bedside light was flickering. But generally speaking it has a feeling of history and therefore there will always be some updating to do. The lobby to our room - couldn't find switch to work the light. |

Very rural and quiet location with friendly staff. Good range of ales at the bar and a really atmospheric wood panelled library with leather chairs in which to sit and drink. |

Attentive, friendly and helpful staff; a relaxed atmosphere in delightful quiet surroundings but only 10-15 minutes to centre of Norwich; excellent food presented with flair and style; very comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, did not have time to walk the extensive grounds. It would have been nice to have leisure facilities on site such as a pool. |

nly brief stay but very quiet and comfortable. Hotel with character. Has special atmosphere and carefully decorated. Appreciated tea/coffee making facilities and choice of teas. Also appreciated wifi. Bathroom was adequate but not as luxurious as experienced elsewhere - door fell off as I opened it and had to rehang! Drapes needed some minor repair. |

RLovely hotel and grounds, relaxing, good food, friendly efficient staff, pleasant rooms. Frustrating to have trouser press that did not work, also lights on stairs in room 407 not working, which could have proved dangerous in the dark. |

Comfortable bed. Free wi-fi. Good-size shower. Food: awful. Beer: badly kept/off. Minimal cold-water pressure for the shower, making it virtually unusable (although this may well have been a temporary problem). No response from reception in trying to call for over 20 minutes. |

The friendliness of the staff, the comfort and the quality of the bar and restaurant. The tendency to add extra costs - small, but they added up. |

The food and the service Lack of attention to detail in certain areas. Light in bathroom did not work. Bath and sink plugs broken and got stuck in sink! TV had to be looked at as no sound when switched on. |

The hotel itself is very attractive set in it's own grounds and in a quiet spot off the main roads. The room I had was lovely. There was no milk to make a cup of tea in the room. I had asked for a quiet room and there were workmen right underneath my window. The times of the restaurant did not enable me to have dinner as I had work to do away from the hotel in the evening. The hotel doesn't really cater for business people it's more for weekends away and weddings. |

The Staff and the Rstaurant food - excellent The Room - apparently a complimentary upgraded room - Boiling hot from an unknown heat source, radiator not on, eventually had to open the window and curtains which caused the radiator to come on..! hardly slept so needed a refreshing shower - unfortunately the shower door collapsed on top of me - but at least that woke me up. |
