Location, building Staff tried hard to offer individual service with a smile. Old silk dusty flowers in restaurant, simple tea lite would have been much nicer. Smooth radio playing on tv in corner not conducive to atmosphere. Lots of condiments on tables give the restaurant a 'cafe' feel.

I had looked at the reviews on Trip Advisor and was rather nervous when I booked. I have to say that I travel a lot stay in many hotels. To date, Caldecott has to be the best hotel I have stayed in. Tony and the staff make your entire experience brilliant and the food is superb. With a 2 18 hole golf courses next door ( 50m walk) and full use of the spa next door, this hotel is exactly what any business man could wish for. I have now booked for an extra month as Caldecott is a home away from home. Rooms are big and the area is very quite. You need to experience excellence yourself so I recoomend you book.

The hotel room had been recently decorated and was furnished to a good standard. I thought the suite we had was excellent value for money. We stayed there for two nights for the price we would have paid for one in a national chain and had a much better room with spa bath and shower. Reception is not 24/7 so when we wanted anything it meant going into the bar and finding someone to help us.

Body works at Caldecott hall was brilliant. Room was clean and comfortable Food was unexceptable, a oyster mushroom, rocket and champagne risotto was presented as boiled rice, peas and 4 slithers of button mushrooms! Returned to the waitress, then brought back out with what looked like milk poured on to same plate!! The steak and ale pie far to salty, vegetables were over cooked and past there best, gravy you could cut with a knife. Waitress kindly offered different meals, but lost confidence in the kitchen! Temperature of the hotel could have been warmer!!!
