Breakfast excellent, staff very friendly.
Lighting in room very hit and miss, just better than a candle. Switches not where you expect to find them. Extension lead very short had to boil kettle on the floor.
staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good.
food , staff, hotel
the room did need a paint. sorry.
Nice size room, large TV
room got a bit hot; could not open windows as I was on the ground floor
Reasonable price for good food and drinks
Very tired and drab rooms. But there was posters to say hotel was being refurbished
most helpful kind people I have ever met, they made sure my stay was perfect in every way. They made sure I had a room even if I didn't have one booked, they made sure I know where and how to find my way around town..
Resturant for dinner & breakfast Good insulation from bar noise Nice comfortable/clean room Pleasant staff
Bathroom door did not close(room3) No hairdryer in room Room is quite small
Reasonably priced as Edinburgh very expensive. Five minutes drive to the Park and Ride to get into the City.
Very tired hotel...a bit smelly..needs renovating
Staff really friendly. Offered packed lunch instead of breakfast as we had to leave early
No hairdryer. Food more basic than would have liked.
Staff were very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The complimentary full Scottish breakfast was superb.
Wifi is a myth. Hotel in need of the renovation it's currently undergoing.
Good friendly staff and decent location (close to town).
Room was bad, small and we thought we would be given better room. When I asked for upgrading, I was told that all the rooms were full. The bed was low and it was highly unpleasant to stay there for the night. Would not recommend this place. WiFi was really poor, it never got connected while we were in our room. I'd rather pay a bit more and get a better hotel than this one.
Friendly service. Made us feel like locals
Decor dated especially the office.
Tatty rooms - I suppose you get what you pay for
the staff were excellent food for lovely and the drink was very reasonable for a hotel we stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time there
Nice place but it is an older than I thought needs a few repairs. Staff were nice and friendly. The food was lovely so I recommend a meal there at least one night, breakfast was also good.
A bit far out of the city and difficult to get to public transport. Pipes in the bathroom made noise when showering.
Good views over the Forth from the dining area. Good service. Straightforward and tasty food. Good breakfast with quick service. Reception and dining area nicely refurbished. Easy onsite parking. Convenient for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival as Rosyth station is only 10 mins away with trains straight into the centre of Edinburgh without the hassle of driving in and trying to park.
External appearance was not very inviting but don't let that put you off. Some bedrooms need refurbishing - this appears to be ongoing as some do seem to have been done already.
Restaurant was good. Clean rooms Parking Very convenient to go to the airport
Too much noise from the bar.
Breakfast was superb. The room was spotlessly clean. The bar was lively and reasonably priced. Terrace was a good place to sit with a drink
It was a bit far from town and other facilities
Its proximity to the port.
Room not very big but more than adequate for one night
price ,handy overnight stop for travel into Edinburgh, no rip off Edinburgh fest rates here pretty basic rooms but ok for 1 night stopover
noisey guests banging room doors entering and leaving, not hotels fault just ignorant guests
* i liked the way the breakfast was set up.
*red hot pipe running through the room and made the room very uncomfortable, when i ask for another room a was told no even through the place had plenty of free rooms. *bar staff were very rude. *hdmi connection on the TV was broken as well as the remote. *the overall look of the room was shabby (wall paper peeled off, window vent broken, drawer front panels fell of after opining) *i would have liked the wifi password to be in the room instead of going down to ask for it.
The room was OK for what we wanted.the receptionists were helpful.
Been told we couldn't have a pudding with our meal as they stop cooking at 8.00(it was 7.55) luckily the chef did do us a pudding.been served 2 cold pots of tea with our breakfast.
The location wasn't ideal as it was 15 miles away from the venue and across the Forth Road Bridge. Apart from that, the hotel was fine and the breakfasts were lovely.
