Good views from bedroom overlooking sea loch and mountains w/h basin in bedroom rather in bathroom(room 7). Shower room 10 poor. Decor quite tatty. Needs sprucing up.

The hotel was nice and warm, staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem.The restaurant served excellent food with a large choice and was served piping hot.Thanks for that The bedroom was functional but the noise from the floorboards was just terrible from the room above and we tried not to move around too much as not to disturb others as our room floor was awful. This problem would stop us from coming again Please go and walk in room 217 and also get someone to walk around in the room above to see what the noise is like. Was glad to get home to get a good sleep

Loved Ullapool and the close proximity of the hotel to everything. Everything was comfortable and clean and breakfast was really good.

it was very noisey, empty soap dispensers, minimum facilities and comfort. Furniture needed replacing as bits fell off as soon as you tried to put away clothes. It was all verey seedy and tired and that was reflected in the price.

The tartan carpeting throughout, the whisky related room names, and the ability to buy locally produced arts and crafts. Nice helpful staff and the locals are also helpful and friendly. I would have given the comfort rating an excellent, but we were let down by the fact that the only heating in the lovely large bathroom,which seemed to have a stone floor under the vinyl,was the towel rail,resulting in an uncomfortable and chilly bath/shower.

Had the best views in the hotel staying in the Macallan room - this did not make up for everything else. This hotel appeared more like a nursing home from the 80's. It was obviously the place to stay 'back in the day', that day was long ago! Everything about the hotel was tired, paint chipping off doorways, sills and walls. Even the breakfast hallway needed a lick of paint. The windows in our room looked as if they were about to fall out, the bathroom window looked like it HAD fallen out but been screwed back in to place. Even the staff were grubby and tired looking. The shower was virtually unbearable as it would either give us BOILING hot water or FREEZING cold, if we had been staying for another night we would have had to have moved rooms but, more likely, we would have changed hotel. The room was cold due to a faulty heater which we only realised in the morning. Redundant soap dispensers in the bathroom added to the grim appearance. Only one small pane of glass was frosted in the bathroom window. No bottled water provided in the room. We did not like the look of the place for dinner but stayed for included breakfast the next morning, the service was poor, only one other couple were there and we got to the point we almost had to go looking for staff to get served. when we were eventually served we had no menu's so asked for a cooked breakfast, the waitress went through every part of the breakfast asking if we were ok with it.....bacon?, sausage?, egg? .......... was a bit weird. Creeped out by the whole experience, I will not return. DO NOT STAY HERE!
