Good value for money, as London hotels are expensive. Excellent location. Very quiet. Clean enough, no perfect, but ok. Breakfast was a typical English breakfast, no surprises there. There were some small insects flying in the room, like moths. We found them in the basement room and they went to your open suitcases. Luckily they haven't caused any problems at home even if I found two live ones in my suitcase when I was back in Finland. Basement room was very hot when our group arrived, but that problem got solved for next morning. We got another room for the 1st night. Rooms are small but that was not unexpected. Breakfast room didn't smell too good.

Not very expensive but clean and tidy. Value for money if you just want somewhere to crash for the night. Excellent location, just across the road from King's Cross and St Pancras station.

I was traveling with two friends. Two of us have a lot of experience with "budget" hotels in the uk, the third was visiting for the first time. We were all impressed with what this hotel offered. Not only were the rooms clean with plenty of storage space so we didn't have to 'live out of a suitecase', but the bathroom was a generous size. An important item for three women traveling together. The breakfast was flavorfull and filling and gave a great start to the day. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. There is a vending machine in the lobby so that cold bottled water was available at all times. We felt safe and comfortable staying here. There was also a safe in our room which gave us extra reassurance. There were plenty of outlets to plug in chargers and such. There was hot water no mater what time of day we showered. The location to the tube was unbeatable. Hotel California is my new favorite in the uk. There was a bit of a heat wave when we were there, so yes, the room got stuffy. But a rinse off in the roomy shower was helpful. If you want a/c in the uk, then you will pay for it. I lived here, that's just how they do things. There wasn't any issues that made the stay less enjoyable. It might be nice if Sunday breakfast was available a little later in the morning, but as it was, it wasn't an inconvenience. Our room had lots of mirror space, but none where there was good lighting, so putting on your makeup was a bit tricky.

Very close to the train station and the metro, quiet street, helpful staff, new marble floor in the bathroom, soft beds, clean sheets Everything else: no elevator, tiny stuffy room with cramped 3 beds, to get to the batroom one has to get inside the closet and go half-floor down, very smelly bathroom, toilet does not flush (and did not get repaired after we complained); dirty oily bathtub, no soap for the sink, shower liquid soap dispenser empty, no floormat (asked for an extra towel and did not get any), and all pleasure for 120 pounds per night. After 1 week in France and Belgium, where we stayed in much nicer rooms for half the price, this was a big step down. Will not stay there again.

The location is fantastic, rooms are standard budget but clean, neat and tidy. I was impressed with the value for money. You won't find a better hotel at this price, in this close proximity to London city. The breakfast wasn't very appealing to me but that's because I'm vegetarian. Everybody else seemed to enjoy it.

The convenience to St Pancras Station. Relatively quiet for city hotel. Attractive hanging baskets outside. This hotel has no lift - hallways narrow/stairs steep and narrow. Bedroom more like a prison cell? Nothing appealing in decor/fittings - though beds fairly comfortable - just basic and functional - not even a chair - just a plastic stool. Bathroom more like a public convenience - large white tiles - no toiletries. Breakfast basic with 'plastic' eggs and toast 'in a heap'. Would not recommend other than 'a bed for the night' close to Eurostar!

The hotel is located near King's cross station which is excellent for traveling. The hotels also has well equipped rooms and offers free and very fast wi-fi. The best thing about this hotel though, is the staff! Very kind and willing to help. Great value for money.

Was so suprised at how nice this hotel was. We book it as there were three of us wanting to say in one room. It was a fair price for London and breakfast included. When we arrived the staff were very friendly (didn't really know the way round London and had no maps). The room was great, spacious and clean and comfy. Breakfast was a full English and was very tasty. The hotel was so close to kings cross station. Can honestly say I will be staying here again. We wanted some advice from reception but she had no maps and didn't really know the way around.

The location is very convenient: just 1 min walk from Kings Cross. Nice bathroom (bigger than my room..) The single room I booked was tiny, I could barely turn around in it - actually bordering on claustrophobic. And it was unbelievably noisy from 4:30 in the morning onwards so I barely got a good nights' sleep. It may seem convenient but this really is not value for money if you have to book a single room.

Access to all three public transport , shopping, and going to the main airports. , other entertainments... Museum, national galleries, etc. This is not a complaint against staff. It is the structureof the bulding , no lift, . in case of fire ((God forbids )) people on third floor will have difficulty to evacuate the building. Under other circumtances, if a person staying more that a day or two, they will difficulty (to say the least ) to go up and down.

We used this hotel as a family of grandparents, mum and two young children. It is quite basic but was great for an overnight stay. Breakfast choices were limited but what was available was okay. The main attraction was its location, just five minutes from Kings Cross. The real surprise was the attentiveness of the staff. They couldn't have been kinder with the children and helped us out in every way possible. The hotel may be basic but the service was first class.

In the first period, more exactly four days, the manager of the the hotel gave us a room at the third floor , which can never be named a hotel-room, with 4 channel TV only, poor beds in a lamentable, pitfully form,no good conditions at all, after this period of torture, we ask for another room and she submit to change that poorly room with a room new decorated at the first floor, good conditions to stay with 30 channels new plasma TV. So, take care what you receive as a customers, and demand from the begining your rights for the money payed.

We have stayed at the hotel before and we chose to come again as it is right opposite Kings cross station so easy to find, easy to get from and to wherever you need to ge to, the hotel is basic but clean, comfy and a fair breakfast. The rooms could probably do with a lick of paint.

I've stayed here a number of times and would return anytime. Reception staff excellent, comfortable and clean. Breakfast very good as always. Price has been creeping up, but no more than anywhere else and part of economy as a whole. A benefit here is the luggage room (free of charge) for storage before or after checking in/out time.

Excellent location, just across from Kings Cross, much closer than it looks on a map! Simple, clean room and fairly priced. I was shocked by the receptionist. He was insensitive, verging on ignorant - english is my first language, though not in a London accent! He spoke across me and quickly got irritable saying he couldn't understand 'a word I was saying' - disgraceful really.

Good location. Right across the street from Kings cross Station. Good breakfast buffet. Stylish decor. No street noise. Could use some new carpet. Third "bed" in room was really a pullout and uncomfortable.Old tv with 3 stations.

Location This time I had room 403, you could not see (light wise) having a shower or bath due to the dividing wall, this is very dangerous getting in or out of the bath not being able to see, an extra light over the bath would solve this. I am suprised under health and saftey you have got away with this so far. All so there were no plug sockets near the kettle to be able to make tea/coffee, you had to get things out of a cupboard and plug it in beside the bed. Again this could be very dangerous.

“The staff at Crestfield were absolutely friendly and helpful. The room was small as are all London hotels that are affordable, but I didn't mind it at all. The best part of staying at the Crestfield Hotel is the location. It is a block away from the King's Cross tube stop, which is in the heart of the city. Also, the Pancras International train station is there as well, making easy to grab a train to France/Belgium and the rest of Europe. Can't beat it!” Tony, Studio City |
