Locker room for luggage.
I think the mattress could do with a good cleaning
Love the location, so convenient to Kings Cross station. Wonderful, helpful and professional staff on the desk. A big thankyou to the night attendant who moved on the noisy people on the footpath on the second night so I could get some sleep
the night club next door meant the people stood outside me window until 4 am keeping me awake. Had to wear ear plugs and still couldnt sleep for noise
The friendly welcome and atmosphere.
It was cosy, & plenty of seats upstairs at reception, bar & outside at patio
The dinning area was a little small, though we didnt mind the 10min wait for breakfast, as there was plenty of food & choice,we sat at patio which was nice
Within easy walking distance from & to trains. Easy to find. Perfect for our overnight pre DLP via Eurostar. Staff at reception were welcoming & efficient. A clean room + a nice bathroom. Breakfast was buffet style Full English + fruit salad & cereals. Would definitely stay here again!
The stairs might be difficult for some guests but help is on hand if you need it - just ask!
Staff and location and facilities terrific.
A little bit hard to get used to where my room was but a minor detail.
Perfect location for catching Eurostar to Paris.
A bit small
Even closer to Kings Cross than I'd imagined. Luggage room so useful. Thank you.
Room very well designed, good use of space.
Breakfast - felt like a student canteen. Staff rushing with little time to help.
Sheets were filthy, I only noticed in the morning , it looked like faeces , absolutely disgusting, took pictures , receptionist asked for me to send & complain to manager , which I did , three emails & 3 days later he replied & said the cleaner found a lot of sweetie papers in the room and it was chocolate , I can 100% swear we had nothing to eat in that room BEWARE do not go near.
The hotel was in a great location, on a quiet side street opposite Kings Cross. It had a lot of character too and the staff were friendly and helpful. Price wise, it's reasonable for London prices and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again and so would my friends and family I travelled with.
The rooms were quite small though if you only use them for sleeping (as we did) it doesn't matter.
Location, friendliness of staff, luggage store and availability of triple room.
Stayed here with my husband and two kids, age 10&14. First let me say that the staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The location is handy if you're coming by train as it is literally across the street from St. Pancras/Kings Cross station. No elevators and narrow starcases make it an adventure to pull bags up. I expected the room to be small bc this is Europe and it wad. We had a double size for us grownups, and two cots/twins for kids. But the double bed was side ways so I had to crawl over my husband to get off the bed. And quite lumpy. The kids were fine on their beds. The outlets in room worked if you flipped the switch for each. The bathroom is tiny, and as a 5' tall, 105 lb woman, I still had to squeeze into the corner to pee! The windows were tall and let in lots of light, and opened to a decorative balcony. No ac, but there was a fan in the room's closet. The hairdryer in the room is not exactly powerful, but the wifi worked great as well as tv. The hotel is across the street from a storage business and the street noise from their trucks was significant, plus traffic noise from the larger streets around. The daily breakfast included in room rate was good - cereals, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausages, toast & jam, juices. Things get crazy down there when everyone seems to appear at 9am, so expect a line, but the kitchen staff work hard to keep everyone happy. Overall, this hotel does its best to keep it funky and comfortable, and in my younger days, it would have been fine. Nowadays, I like my bed turned round to allow easier access and better coffee with my breakfast. However, coffee shops are right around the corner...
No ac or elevator, bed was uncomfortable and turned so awkward to get on. Street noise significant.
Been twice and very good
The staff and location were great, very convenient.
The Breakfast was very average, we have had better breakfast in some hostels we stayed at.
friendly staff, great location and good free breakfast
friendly staff, excellent espresso
couldn't leave my suitcase early on in the day because room was not ready and storage space was very full.
My third stay at this lovely little deco hotel opposite Kings cross. Staff are delightful, rooms comfy, and I adore the original deco features, especially in the bar. Next stay already booked!
The location right across from St. Pancras is ideal. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished, clearly making the most of limited space in the rooms. The full English breakfast was plentiful, though not of the highest quality. The housekeeping and waitstaff at breakfast were outstanding.
Alas, the climb up the narrow stairs to the rooms was a challenge, especially with large suitcases. The rooms are very small and there is limited space to unpack personal belongings. The wash stand is in the room and the stool and shower is in one space - which means the toilet set soaked when taking a shower. Finally, the walls are fairly thin so we could clearly hear people in the hallway and next door.
Location Breakfast was ok Posters decorating walls.
I had a Mastercard 'money card' with GBP's already there to pay. On leaving, the receptionist put the bill into Australian dollars first and then changed it into pounds at the day's rate - making approximately $30 Australian in the process. When I saw what had happened, I protested and the receptionist said that it was ok. When I arrived back in Australia, I got a statement and saw what had happened. Needless to say the Commonwealth Bank here is pursuing the matter. Travellers be warned.
Convenient Location Clean modern room and bathroom Friendly staff
Breakfast rather like a school canteen!
clean tidy rooms, ideal for kings x station
very noisy room due to the down pipe being outside our room for what appeared to be the whole hotel as every ime it was flushed through out the night we could hear it so very little sleep
We were upgraded to a family room with more space but....
It was in the basement :-( Breakfast was adequate but I've had far more variety on offer elsewhere.
Location for kings cross station. Friendly staff, luggage room, very clean room & bathroom.
Rooms small (but not unusual for central London)! Breakfast room v. Busy have to wait for tables.
Room, though small was ideal for purpose - great use of space and contemporary decoration. Very clean. Lovely bar and breakfast great.
