Situated in a historic Listed building on Stornoway’s prestigious Matheson Road, this spacious 4-star apartment has been completely modernised and is a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. Cairn Dhu Apartment features 2 LCD TVs with Freeview channels, a DVD/CD player, an iPod dock and free wireless broadband. It is tastefully decorated with a large leather corner suite, solid oak designer tables and a king-size leather bed. There is a stylish bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, tea/coffee and biscuits. Shops, a golf course, Lews Castle, a post office and butchers (selling the world-famous Stornoway Black Pudding) are only a minute away. Lovely apartment with the most comfortable bed ever! Quiet neighborhood, yet very convenient. This was my second trip to the Hebrides and Stornoway and I've booked in at 10 different locations. Cairn Dhu was by far my favorite.

The apartment offered us a very comfortable "bolt-hole" on the Island of Lewis in January - the ferry was unable to dock due to the weather conditions and the crossing was extended by 5 hours! We needed a place to unwind and relax which was also easy to find and gave us what the advertising promised. These things we got. We brought our own food - well, m & s did the work really - and to be honest it was as good as being at home. In addition we did not need to see a soul due to the convenience of the key deposit, so all in all it suited us perfectly!!! The kitchen was just a bit chilly and could benefit from rugs or something to enhance the feeling of home.

Was very impressed with the apartment at the price I paid for! Was not expecting the owners to leave milk and other food for breakfast, so it was a pleasant surprise. No hassles when arriving, key was left at the specified place, and instructions to for shower and heating were on hand. Wished I had booked it for another night just to relax all day there! Only quibble is perhaps the duvet being used as a mattress cover, I'd prefer the firmness of a mattress on its own. Wifi worked the night of stay, but stopped working in the morning for some reason. Only minor things really, enjoyed staying there, and will do so given the opportunity to do so.

A last minute life saver! Couldn’t believe our luck on arrival, a tasteful, stylish, & spacious apartment all to ourselves. Some beautiful touches and sumptuous kingsize bed, which we didn’t want to get out of, all ensured our stay was luxurious & relaxing! Highly recommended.

This was a fantastic place from which to explore the Isle of Lewis. We had a chance to unwind, relax, cook our own meals and do our own thing - a pleasant change after so many weeks in Bed and Breakfast accommodation. A lovely walk into town uncovered many gorgeous shops and pubs, the supermarket was 2 minutes away and we visited the Standing Stones of Callanish and the beaches on short trips by car. Everything had been thought of and the modern decor was tasteful and comfortable. A great stay!

La pulizia e l'arredamento moderno. Lavatrice, tv, phon, microonde e parcheggio . tutto a disposizione. Un pò caro rispetto ad altre soluzioni, ma hai a disposizione un appartamento con tutte le comodità, per cui piacevole.

Modern und gemütlich eingerichtetes Appartment mit Wohn- und Schlafraum, Küche und Badezimmer. Zentrale Lage in Stornoway. Gute Basis für Ausflüge auf der Isle of Lewis und Harris. Frühstückbasics vorhanden.
