I chose not to watch the entertainment in the evening as the bar was quite full of old people and my children are quite a rowdy bunch.. so not sure whether my children or the other guests would have appreciated it. Although if we went without the children I would have sat down in the bar for the evening. Our room was on the top floor, so by the time I got to the top I needed some time to catch my breath back, but that is probably my own fault for being unfit. Not sure how it would suit more elderly guests. Some of the furniture and carpets are a little dated, and although this really does not bother me in the slightest I know there are some people out there that expect to pay a little and expect the world in return. It was adequate for me and my family's needs.. and at the right price.
The staff were very accommodating of my fussy eating child and gave her exactly what she wanted for breakfast. I quite enjoyed the breakfast, but i must say a few mushrooms would have completed it for me. The hotel has entertainment on the evening. Nice clean white bedding and towels. Plenty of tea and coffee in the bedroom. Nice spacious family room with en suite bathroom, not cramped like other hotels we have all stayed in. The location is brilliant for central blackpool. We had a big ticket to go to all of the near by attractions so it was brilliant that everything was within 5 minute walk. There is no parking at the hotel however very near by there is a very large car park which we paid £15 for 48 hours or it was £17 for 72 hours which I thought was very reasonable. You can park outside the hotel for 15 minutes aswell which is ideal for dropping your luggage inside. Then on the day we left staff said we could leave our luggage there so we didn't have to carry it back to the car or move the car to collect it and so my collect it when we were leaving. Overall for me it was better than what I would expect from a B&B that is fairly priced aswell.
