liked the entertainment facilities walking distance to the beach very polite staffs
the room was dirty chairs with stain dirty bathroom, we had to clean the rooms and bathroom first
extremely bad condition of the chalets, they smelt, paper coming off the walls, cheap poor dated furniture in disrepair, windows blown and filthy, makes a refugee camp appealing. the pits!
The location was great and close to the beach. Indoor pool large, clean and not too manic. Chalet was clean, shower was very good. Check-in was efficient and most of the staff were helpful. Good restaurants locally.
Club house entertainment was not so hot. I know that you can't please everybody but there was a lot of screeching going on and not too many happy faces. Could have done with a comedian.
Staff were friendly
The chalet was filthy the plates bowls etc were dirty the beds were broken the shower was broken it wasn't secure at all I'm glad I didn't take my children there ....
Loud people that thought it was ok to use horrible words would of been cross if had my 2 youngest with me
Location near to the beach, 5 year old son enjoyed it.
Very dated and poor accommodation. Looked like a prison camp or similar. mattresses and curtains smelt of cigarettes even though this was a non smoking apartment. Needs a through deep clean and refurbishment. Windows looked liked they have never been cleaned. Very dark at night when walking around the complex lights not working.
Location Reasonably clean
Buildings run down Nothing like in pictures
The beach at camber sands is lovely and the kids enjoyed the pool. The chalets were a fair size.
The fast food places were overpriced and not good quality. The TV in our chalet never worked . We never realised this till we got in from the club and was too late to do anything about it. The beds were uncomfortable.
The location of the park, I.e. Distance to the beach.
Poor value for money.
Food was good.
a bit tatty, worn out. Whole park could do with a good freshen up.
As a group of 10 we had a fabulous break. The staff were friendly, the food was very plentiful and tasty. Our children in the party thoroughly enjoyed all on offer. We also found seating the restaurant very accessible.
Restaurant temperature too high. Staffing numbers quite low in most facilities. Making waiting times a tad bit longer than needed. May benefit from a little canopy or shelter outside swimming pool for people waiting as it makes the wait a little more bearable.
The all day entertainment for the kids
Dated ...old style chalets a.... A bit hi de hi and a general lack of cleanliness in the bars and pubs and toilets etc
Location to all sea side areas Parks for kids
Parking - a nightmare. Not enough spaces. Room - could be cleaner, and the sofa bed is so uncomfortable. Pool - dirty, and would recommend not to use it. Soft play area - dirty, and we'll understaffed Arcade - machines didn't like taking money, or they didn't work. Again, well understaffed. Kitchen in room - cooker rusty, one plug for 3 appliances, and lack of utensils.
Quick and easy check-in Food was plentiful, well prepared varied and interesting Site was cleaned regularly and maintenance crew efficient, polite and knowledgeable
Buildings were "tired" Parking was very tight Enormous quantities of food were wasted due to greed and lack of supervision at serving points Often we had to queue for more than 10 minutes No assistance offered for guests with wheelchairs in the dining room, having to queue once for her husband and then for her own meal was not a good experience for a couple we met. We coped better only because of our 2 splendid grandchildren Although we slept well, a curfew would be an improvement (late night/early morning conversation in loud voices can cause irritation to parents of young children and elderly guests) The apartment floor had clearly not been swept and mopped when we arrived. Walking barefoot was very dirty!
I like the location....beach is beautiful. The pool is good and clean.
Nothing worked! Half the arcade games were switched off. The public toilets smelled terrible. The carpets were filthy. The characters never came out. They charge you for everything and the staff are on the whole miserable and rude although not surprising with amount of complaints they had to deal with. Food was poor and not enough choice. The whole park was badly signposted and not enough information to tell you what's going on.
I have already emailed you twice and had no response. It was dirty, cheap, no one could be bothered, disappointed at the food, the lack of stock, machines not working, I can go on forever ? Please contact me ASAP.
Cleanliness layout, old,worn out!
Nothing awfull dirty dated
Everthing Also children killing the bunnies runing around . Smelly tiles falling off no bedding towels cooker didnt work Noisy neighbours Food made me sick Main toilets foul rude staff Canot check in till you act like a clown with blue coats Would not recomend price to high Also watch your valuables has their get stolen on the camber sands campus Phill martin should be sacked not avaliable at weekends to deal with all the complaints Their needs to be a totall re training of staff totall shambles Dated smelly Do go their your be sick.
Dirty, run down, depressing place to be. Make the most of location because camber sands beach is beautiful. Worked well as a base but that's about all. Defo won't be coming back. Website is such a con.
All of it
Parks; proximity to beach; slot machines
We got stuck in filthy chalet with a ghetto appearance from the outside, literally grimy and decadent inside. The only parking space was in a big puddle. The chalet and beds are nothing like the impression they give in the websites pictures. We had to Dettol clean the place before letting our children sleep in it; we even found the last peoples knickers near a bed and debris was just left. No bed clothes are provided; luckily we took our own, but still suffered rashes. The food and ambience in Sands restaurant was grubby... Victorian-like, certainly no upgrade from 1950s décor and not fit for consumption by todays standards and no cheaper for it. The swimming pool is advertised as being always open but do not be fooled, we queued for an hour waiting on a one in one out system with the kids cold and bored and once inside it was manic; filled to the rafters with no showers and very questionable on the hygiene front again. The entertainment was as basic; no shiny happy people in bluecoats as per the pictures. Oh and when we booked we were promised the chalet had a bath; there was even a picture and a boast that there would be a bath...there wasn't! When you've travelled a long way with young children and get your cases to a chalet you do not feel like having to complain and demand a move so we made the most of it and got out, noticing that plenty of other people were doing the complaining for us but the management were not the least bit interested in change improvement.
Entertainment was good,close to beach
Toilets stunk made me heave I the entertainment block. Quite noisy could do with a football park for the kids. Had go ask got a clean duvet . Would be nice to have had a shower bath, sink, toilet had seen better days.
Entertainment in the evening
Pool was very over crowded to the point if not being safe. Room was filthy my daughter was on her hands n knees washing the floor. Poor facilities uncomfortable beds.
The place was dirty, there were slugs in the kitchen, the floor needed a sweep. The only bedding in the room was a pillow and that had a hole in it. The plaster was falling of the kitchen walls and there was water damage on the ceiling.
Good layout of chalet. Chalet well equipped. Man in shop very helpful. Excellent location.
Noisy residents shouting all night and playing football after dark. Poor parking. Restaurant closes too early at 9pm. Not told by reception staff of need to buy electric key so chalet in dark and had to go back to reception in a thunder storm (reception closed) finally found electric keys sold in shop. Only place to eat was expensive burger bar which was under staffed with long wait for food. Pub tables filthy.
swiming pool kids entertainment.
