food was good staff very helpful
limited parking considering it was low season beds uncomfortable
good price for an overnight stay
good location and nice playgrounds for little ones
completely run down, uncomfortable stay, dirty and didnt even shower as was worried that it hadnt even been cleaned
STAFF CLEARLY NOT TRAINED FULLY, HAD A POOR ATTITUDE TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. MANY WHERE SURLY AND UNHELPFUL. HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS 4 TIMES BEFORE FOUND CLEAN ONE. HAD CAR CRASH ON WAY DOWN AND NEEDED USE THE INTERNET ASAP TO ACCESS INSURANCE DOCUMENTS. INTERNET FACILITIES BROKEN AND WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE LIBRARY IN TWON 15 MILES AWAY. EVENING MEALS WHERE CHAOS WITH QUEUE OF FOREIGN STUDENTS ALL PUSHING AND SHOVEIN. WHEN ASKED WAITER WHY THEY WERE NO GIVEN STAGGERED TIMES HE SHRUGGED AND SAID NO ON WOULD LISTEN. TABLES UNCLEARED AND MESS EVERYWHERE. AWFUL.
The accommodation was clean. The food was OK but getting it took time...There are decent playgrounds for little ones...The kids' entertainment is OK...The swimming pool is OK but not pretty. The location is great and a short walk from the beach.
This holiday park is desperately in need of some TLC - it doesn't look pretty or welcoming inside or out.... Noisy late night revellers nearly caused us to leave early - the paper thin walls don't help but it was quiet only after 3am on a Saturday night....There were dirty duvets and pillows and no mattress protectors - yuk....The TV didn't work and no-one bothered to do anything about it....We requested soap/shower gel for the bathroom as this is part of the deal but didn't get it...Staff are doing their best but on a business level may as well be burning money especially where food is concerned. There is lot of waste here as people are hungry when they queue, tend to grab three courses at once then leave pudding. And if we could have had a beer or a glass of wine with our food we would have but this wasn't an option....the local shops are expensive so bring food with you if you can... If you're still thinking about booking a stay here: Early check in isn't available so ignore this option on the Booking.com website!...Don't expect linen even if says duvet covers are provided...Take lots of towels as if you go to the beach you get very sandy! Don't expect a reply from Pontins if you have any queries...Take ear plugs.
The arcade for my son and the beach and the friendly people .
The apartment was not cleaned properly there was cobwebs everywhere and little gnats and Staines on the duvets .
Really disappointed that bookings.com are involved with pontins. Pontins needs to be demolished. It's rundown, dirty, scruffy exterior was enough for me to question what the rooms & other facilities were like. I decided not to bother staying.
Situated in beautiful area, very short walk to lovely sandy beach, local to Rye and not far from Hastings. Great outdoor play areas, trampolines, putting course, local take out places served nice fresh food. Chalet was clean, however sofa bed was extremely small- given we had booked for a family- so not suitable for 2 people.
Staff were fairly 'grumpy' complaining of feeling tired and the fact they were short staffed. Many of the machines were out of order, hard to find staff to help. No clear signs explaining things were broken- so we lost lots of tokens. Food in restaurant was poor and at times, often not reflecting the menu for that day and not indicating clearly the choice of kids meals. Take out places on site were expensive and not very tasty.
Breakfast was the only ok thing
Very rundown, not clean , couldn't care less attitude from staff.
Only the location
The room the restaurant The foods
Food was good, accommodation a bit tired but clean and comfy. Clubs, pool and childrens facilities good. Near to the beach
Very close to the beach
Price was very good. If youre expecting a modern hotel-like stay forget it and remember how much you are paying for God's sake
Entertainment was poor but again the price!!
Good location near Camber sands beach....also the wildlife living in the vicinity.Staff were friendly and helpful...
The whole place needs a complete overhaul or knocking down and starting again, resembled a really run down unloved estate, the chalet wasn't very clean, the shower was full of some bodies hair, floors were dirty,Disgusting/dirty duvets & pillows
The chalet had a nice feel to it.
The staff were very helpful and polite. There was lots too do and rye town was just down the road
the on site shop was expensive
Butlins Bognor far superior
It was so difficult to get food in the evening. We were told by staff to go out of the site and go down the road to local take aways this is disgusting not even a hot dog in sight. In the morning we came out of our apartment by10. We went to the so called resturant which was absolutely filthy and crowded. We were told as we picked up a tray that they were closed at 10.15. There were trampolines set up in amongst cars and car park very dangerous. Paths to narrow just don't go pay extra an go to Butlins
It was good fun for our 4 year olds and the apartment was basic but very clean.
They really do have a mosquito problem . I have had to go to the doctors since returning home with an infected bite . They also need to increase their staffing levels
How much there was to do on the complex .
The young groups which making noise into the early hours especially when we had to be up early and they were rude.
- The Price. - Entertainment Included and clubs a good size. - Location to the Beach. - Nisa shop onsite. After reading reviews before we came, we weren't expecting too much and also for the price seemed good value for a short break away.
We were bitten by some sort of bugs while we slept in the beds at night. Got rudely told it was mosquitos and not offered to move room or change bedding ect! Dated facilities, buildings, accommodation (Rusty cooker, lino flooring peeling away from floor and walls, double bed was an uncomfy fold out sofabed), amusements (Many turned off and/or not working). Dinner was like a school canteen with a set menu and only open at certain times. Swimming pool closed early. Karts not open all the time. We were woken up by cleaners asking why we hadn't checked out ... when we still had one night left! TV did not work or receive channels. Complained on the 1st day, and it wasn't resolved. Took a second complaint on the next day and speaking to the manager for issue to be resolved. Also had to purchase bedding extra that was not advertised and electric on top of the price. Parking was dreadful and seemed like a rat race after check in. It was also very difficult to find the correct apartment number! Everyone seemed to be aimlessly walking about back and forth trying to find the correct room number! Should knock the place down and be started again.
Price Near to the beach
Bad clean Must have a place to keep the lugage.
the new duvet covers and sheets. the entertainment the on site restaurant the on site supermarket location near the beach excellent swimming pool value for money spacious chalets
Using duvets that were obviously not laundered. At Pontins, Southport we were given freshly laundered duvets. Old ciggy stumps outside chalet. Losing parking spot at weekend - why not chalet numbering ? Sofa bed dated. Gardens neglected appearance.
The location was great, the pool had adult swimming for an hour on sat & Sunday morning ,which was great, the staff, particularly the guys on the gate, where more than helpful ,and the shop was well stocked. And we only paid £16.00 per night.
the accommodation was very shabby, not very clean, the crockery was rather sparse , we only had three knives , & the television was pretty poor.
