Breakfast really great !
Comfort And convenient
Just every thing, and the staff were great
Functional. everything it had worked ok.
Not much character or particular charm. A tad overpriced.
Clean, friendly staff ,great location ,good food ,reasonable price .
Very nice room. Clean and quiet. Excellent central location. Good parking facility.
Cooked breakfast was cold but dealt with very well by the staff. I thought the bar staff were pretty poor and a little lacking in charm.
the greeting by staff, a secure car park, both the evening meal and the breakfast were excellent as was the service. The newly refurbished rooms are very comfortable and quiet and the location is perfect
We liked everything about this hotel that we didn't like about the Hilton Double Tree
Room was not properly cleaned Staff were not helpful
Large room with two double beds, a most comfortable night's sleep. Tea and coffee making facilities. Good shower. Free wi-Fi.
Nothing not to like
Very clean hotel that is well located too. Breakfast was amazing too! Very close to Downing, Kings, Pembroke, Judge Business School and many shops etc.
Helpful staff. Ok location although no view.
Windows face mainly towards inside of hotel (reception desk!), or oversee a parking. Windows cannot open. Felt like being in a soft and luxurious prison. Very expensive in the end.
A great location right in the center of Cambridge within walking distance of the town and most colleges. Good to have car parking available too. Extensive breakfast buffet available both continental and English, which was fresh and of a good quality.
Only slight negative is that none of the windows can be opened. Obviously a safety thing and in room air conditioning worked well but it was still uncomfortably hot in the dining room for example.
Valet parking Lovely staff Excellent breakfast Perfect central location Perfectly clean
Rooms were bland, even though we were upgraded to a newly refurbished room. Howling baby in next room.
Great location, great bed, great breakfast.
Our room was ready when we arrived at 11am. Full breakfast was superb.
Curious that there is an escalator up from street to reception but only a lift down.
The staff were terrific. Friendly, professional, helpful without being in the least pushy. Stayed in an interior facing room, which initially were wary of - but it was blissfully quiet...and the exterior rooms don't have that much of a view anyway.
Would suggest rethinking cooked breakfast area - although plentiful and clearly freshly cooked, was not really hot. Otherwise, couldn't fault it.
The hotel was superb.
The friendliness of the staff.
The option to reserve the room without breakfast.
The attitude by one of the staff! When checked in I requested for a room with a view but was told that a city hotel never has a room with a view and if any front room will be noisy! Load of rubbish.!! I was made to feel that this was I first time in a hotel! They offered to compensate me on my next visit but never wrote the email to me.
We had a room on the fourth floor with large twin beds and bath with shower. The beds were so comfortable and it was a quiet room. The staff were very friendly and smiley. We had a very nice stay in the centre of Cambridge and will definitely stay there again.
Not keen on the breakfast, although the fruit selection looked good. My husband said the coffee was not nice neither were the croissants. Didn't like the look of the cook breakfast under heated lamps, it is much better to get it freshly cooked. We have had a much better breakfast in another hotel we sometimes stay in also in central Cambridge.
The location is ideal. It was quite expensive compared to others but you certainly see what you're paying for - central location, very clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Great facilities and good breakfast.
Parking was an additional fee on top of what we perceived were expensive rooms - it was a treat so we were happy to pay. However, we found that parking was somewhat a rarity in Cambridge and the overnight rate was far more cost effective than parking elsewhere so did show good value for money.
We all loved it. Staff were so friendly and very helpful. Rooms very good. Location excellent.
Everything about it. The valet parking was a real bonus.
