Staff were particuarly friendly. 24 manned desk was a nice extra Room was a decent size and clean
Tv in our room didn't work but we were only in there a short amount of time so a non issue. Car park is small and round the back (a tight squeeze)
Everything was better than expected
This was booked at the last minute for a low price. It was adequate for the purpose.
Free parking was offered but the lot was full, so I had to go out and repark my car around the corner. In the bathroom, there was no shampoo or anything apart from handsoap. Breakfast was served by a lovely member of staff, but the food was of low quality (one grape was actually moldy). I was disappointed in this place and felt it was particularly undeserving of the name 'bed and breakfast'. It was more like a cheap hotel.
main details on website say all rooms en-suite - not true, cost me £10 to upgrade room; staff member extremely rude and unhelpful and refused to accept description on website is wrong, took three requests to staff before managed to get heating working in room, claim on website that rooms are soundproof utterly laughable, have never stayed in place with less soundproofing between rooms, bathroom smelled of damp/mould, no toiletries and only one hand towel provided....£40 for single room value for money? - absolutely not!!
The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would stay there again and also recommend it to other travelers.
good hotel with parking room quite small but on my own so not too much of a prob overall good to excdellent
Very nice place, and clean...... Have parking and free
Breakfast, bathroom. Helpful staff. He waited for us to arrive near midnight.
Traffic noise Maybe a room upstairs, if there were ones available would have been nice
A fridge in the room
Breakfast was good for a cheap B&B
The road is very loud. If anybody moved around the house, you could hear every step. Next door's TV was like it was in my room.
very friendly, uncomplicated and helpful staff, 24 hour access.
not sure if the hand soap was also the shower cream.
Close to the centre centre Accommodating staff Reasonable price
Wifi kept going in and out which was inconvenient.
The price was an ideal price for the 4 of us. 3 adults and a child. We use this bed and breakfast as a stop over before heading to sheffield for a competition. The room was cosy and beds where comfortable. We all had a fab night sleep. Shower very powerful. Although the room we where in 16 was small it was ideal for us. We arrived late and left early. Our price did not include breakfast there for I cannot comment on that service.
The wifi did not work very / atol well in this room. Although the room was clean behind the bed side table between the double and single bed was fairly dirty including money and a pen lid. The windows vent didn't shut either. We where a bit chillie before going to bed. However we did warm up with blankets and it didn't effect our sleep. These negatives did not affect our stay Atol and we all would deffo come back again. I am only pointing them out. The
Staff very friendly
Poor Wi Fi Tv remote broken poor breakfast
Friendless and welcome from staff. Room was basic but clean with ample tea and coffee supplies.
Beef sausages on the breakfast - just a personal taste thing though!
You had to ring the doorbell and wait for someone to answer whenever you wanted letting back inside. Maybe a lock on the front door that all room keys can open may be a good idea?
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean room good wi-fi excelent location.
We had the room next to reception. Noisey, we heard every phone call, door buzzer and guest's talking to reception.
sleep comfort poor, could hear all the voices from the neighbouring rooms and the stairway some of the staff very slow to react to your needs, especially with ordering the breakfast
Perfect for a short stay. Shower great. Bed very comfortable.
First night very noisy at 6.30am Renovation in room next door. Could had started a bit later !
I loved the bed, it was so comfy and the room was very clean
The bathroom light was dim, I think for £40 breakfast should be included & there was no decaf coffe
Tasteful décor with attention to detail and practicality. Good cleanliness, nice deep and soft carpeting. High quality appearance of bathroom. Reception and kitchen staff friendly, helpful and attentive. Cooked breakfast freshly made to order and very tasty. Helpful information folder in room including town map and phone numbers for takeaway food deliveries !
Some furnishing elements and solutions cheap and rough. Room 4 by reception noisy - every word said at reception can be heard and all `pedestrian traffic` inside the house passes in front of it; complete lack of privacy here but other rooms might not have same problem. Guest parking at back of house very tight except for superminis
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The cooked breakfast was tasty and there was a wide choice of what was included in it. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower room looked newly fitted. The location was good and was close enough to walk into the town centre.
The friendliness, helpfulness & politeness of staff. Very professional.
Very narrow access to car park - only suitable for small cars. Fridge in room was quite noisy & I thought it would keep me awake, but I was so tired after my busy day that it didn't.
Hotel was conveniently located, excellent value for money, clean, comfortable and good breakfast in the morning. The on-site private car park was great and the staff very kindly let us leave the car there whilst we viewed the University.
A couple of very minor points - one of the bedside lamps was not plugged in as the socket had been used for a fridge (fridge a little noisy next to the bed) - would have preferred use of a lamp. Biscuits with the tea & coffee in the room would have been a bonus!
Friendly and helpful staff Car parking
Noisy room Fairly small room
