Great location and value for money. Rooms and public areas were spotless and staff very helpful and friendly.
Very minor things - Access to car park was very narrow so care is needed and WiFi was a little slow in our ground floor room. Design of the washbasin in room 2 is difficult for shaving otherwise a highly commendable low cost accommodation option in Huddersfield which we would go back to again.
I wasn't the expecting anything great from a guest house but the room was very modern style and comfortable. Great nights sleep good value for money.
Very narrow drive way to car park but it's not a bed thing.
The guest house was simply furnished but clean and well-organised. The (young) staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was just right and the cooked items were done perfectly and served very promptly. Great value and very convenient for central Huddersfield, M62, etc.
No real problems just a minor omission (TV remote control) in our room which was sorted out after a couple of reminders. Maybe just a more thorough check when the room is cleaned - it was spotless - to ensure all items are present?
the room was very nice as was the breakfast
stairs from the car park to the guest house entrance
Comfortable, clean and friendly. Good breakfast with nice selection and they start serving early. Ideally located if working in Central Huddersfield. Will be going back again.
Nothing to complain about
We liked the fact that the Edgerton is in close to the city center; the M62 motorway and close several supermarkets. Breakfast was good and service prompt.
The entrance to the hotel is very narrow and you had to drive very carefully down the side of the building to get on to the car park. Not good if you have a larger 4x4 car. The room did not have any air-conditioning and the bathroom fan didn't work so it became very hot when we had a shower. If would have been nice to have individually packed soaps and shower gels to use and not one that had been opened and used by the previous guest. Need to have side plates on the table when serving toast.
Room Location is pretty good
Staff, their attitude Problems with wifi
Staff v helpful from the minute I arrived late in eve. Kind young gentleman even ordered me in a takeaway. Lovely white linen and towels, more milk , biscuits for the room. Nothing was a bother. Not intrusive. Professional courtesy. I'll go again .
Nothing : the guest house ticked all the boxes.
Upon arrival just handed key at reception and left to find room. Fire alarm went off during the night. There was no explanation or apologies.
Location; peacefully quiet and clean.
Not impressed at my partner being questioned by receptionist about visiting having returned from a function. My partner was asked if she had been charged - for a visit? I was also questioned at breakfast tne next morning. It was a short period of time we spent conversing before her departure. I did not see that as an issue or a need to be charged.
Room was very clean and well appointed. The staff were keen to help. Good choice of breakfast options. Tidy dining room.
Dining room a bit small when lot of guests in. Staff a bit nervous. Not mentioned when booking but no pork available for breakfast. Not a major problem but this should really be advrtised.
Second stay at this 'hidden gem'. If anything, an improvement on our first visit some 10 days before. Very helpful, friendly and efficient staff, sumptuously comfortable and spacious room, great food - and all at a price that puts lesser establishments in the shade
The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The room was just right. Location is a short walk to the train station. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to get away from the hustle of London.
There wasn't anything I didn't like.
Small dark room & breakfast not well organised
Very nice and helpful staff, that carried our heavy suitcases to the top floor. Breakfast was good, too. But the rooms are too small if you intend to stay more than one night.
Quiet location: three of the best nights' sleep I've had in weeks!
Room was a little shabbier than pictures indicated.
The staff were so accomaditing and friendly and could not do enough for us would stay there again and also recommend it to other tourists
Breakfast was OK, but not delicious...powdered orange juice, instant coffee. OK for the price.
Wet sheets on the bed and a bad smell
Great shower. Quiet and Comfy Room, Close to town centre
Spotlessly clean and well appointed. Very comfortable room and food was well cooked and presented. Staff are very cheerful and helpful. Really looking forward to our next visit
Room didn't have the capacity for the number we had booked. the window was broken so didn't open safely, so was very hot! breakfast was very poor
The staff where friendly, it was really clean an looked really nice
