The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The cooked breakfast was tasty and there was a wide choice of what was included in it. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower room looked newly fitted. The location was good and was close enough to walk into the town centre.
The friendliness, helpfulness & politeness of staff. Very professional.
Very narrow access to car park - only suitable for small cars. Fridge in room was quite noisy & I thought it would keep me awake, but I was so tired after my busy day that it didn't.
Hotel was conveniently located, excellent value for money, clean, comfortable and good breakfast in the morning. The on-site private car park was great and the staff very kindly let us leave the car there whilst we viewed the University.
A couple of very minor points - one of the bedside lamps was not plugged in as the socket had been used for a fridge (fridge a little noisy next to the bed) - would have preferred use of a lamp. Biscuits with the tea & coffee in the room would have been a bonus!
Friendly and helpful staff Car parking
Noisy room Fairly small room
The room was clean and provided all we required. The Wi-fi password was displayed in the room. The twin room had small double beds which was excellent. All the staff were polite, helpful and made sure we had all we needed. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and it was well cooked and hot. The town centre and railway station were within easy walking distance and the locality was pleasant and quiet. There was off road parking. We will definitely stay there again.
There were no negative aspects to our stay.
The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The rooms were quite small but perfectly adequate for a single person. Everywhere was clean and recently decorated. It was just a 10 minute walk into the town centre.
Nothing to dislike, all three members of my party enjoyed their stay here
location, breakfast, 24hr reception, wifi, value for money
everything was fine
a lot of stairs
Clean, comfortable and friendly staff
A reasonable walk in to town but i would suggest a taxi a night
Great location and value for money. Rooms and public areas were spotless and staff very helpful and friendly.
Very minor things - Access to car park was very narrow so care is needed and WiFi was a little slow in our ground floor room. Design of the washbasin in room 2 is difficult for shaving otherwise a highly commendable low cost accommodation option in Huddersfield which we would go back to again.
Great services. Great stuff. Great location. Conformable, relaxing, very very nice
I wasn't the expecting anything great from a guest house but the room was very modern style and comfortable. Great nights sleep good value for money.
Very narrow drive way to car park but it's not a bed thing.
Everything is clean. Staff is worried for your comfort.
I listened the fire alert twice at 6AM.It seems this is very common in this hotel.
The guest house was simply furnished but clean and well-organised. The (young) staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was just right and the cooked items were done perfectly and served very promptly. Great value and very convenient for central Huddersfield, M62, etc.
No real problems just a minor omission (TV remote control) in our room which was sorted out after a couple of reminders. Maybe just a more thorough check when the room is cleaned - it was spotless - to ensure all items are present?
the room was very nice as was the breakfast
stairs from the car park to the guest house entrance
Comfortable, clean and friendly. Good breakfast with nice selection and they start serving early. Ideally located if working in Central Huddersfield. Will be going back again.
Nothing to complain about
We liked the fact that the Edgerton is in close to the city center; the M62 motorway and close several supermarkets. Breakfast was good and service prompt.
The entrance to the hotel is very narrow and you had to drive very carefully down the side of the building to get on to the car park. Not good if you have a larger 4x4 car. The room did not have any air-conditioning and the bathroom fan didn't work so it became very hot when we had a shower. If would have been nice to have individually packed soaps and shower gels to use and not one that had been opened and used by the previous guest. Need to have side plates on the table when serving toast.
Room Location is pretty good
Staff, their attitude Problems with wifi
Staff was very helpful and friendly, good location
There was a smell in the bathroom, they offer to move us to another hotel but we were already unpacked
Staff v helpful from the minute I arrived late in eve. Kind young gentleman even ordered me in a takeaway. Lovely white linen and towels, more milk , biscuits for the room. Nothing was a bother. Not intrusive. Professional courtesy. I'll go again .
Nothing : the guest house ticked all the boxes.
fridge in room but then this was in sacrifice of wardrobe space - nowhere to put clothes, biscuit with tea making facilities
room was in the basement next door to laundry room, which was in use all night long, opposite the staff room which was in use all night long, next to dineing room, as was not having breakfast why put us there noise from 7am but then this didn't wake us as we didn't actually ever get to sleep! the room didn't have any windows but a door leading into the car park with a glass panel in it, the room did not look anything like the photos on their website, certainly will not be returning!
Upon arrival just handed key at reception and left to find room. Fire alarm went off during the night. There was no explanation or apologies.
Location; peacefully quiet and clean.
Not impressed at my partner being questioned by receptionist about visiting having returned from a function. My partner was asked if she had been charged - for a visit? I was also questioned at breakfast tne next morning. It was a short period of time we spent conversing before her departure. I did not see that as an issue or a need to be charged.
Room was very clean and well appointed. The staff were keen to help. Good choice of breakfast options. Tidy dining room.
Dining room a bit small when lot of guests in. Staff a bit nervous. Not mentioned when booking but no pork available for breakfast. Not a major problem but this should really be advrtised.
