The price, cheapest I could find in Huddersfield You can hear everything they do in the contiguous rooms, I was not expecting sound-proof walls, but theirs are really flimsy.

Convenience and service are excellent - the wake-up call, shuttle service and car parking make this the best way to get to and from the airport without hassle.

Great service, staff were really friendly. Nothing, there was a slight technical hitch with the room card but it was soon sorted out, it was explained, was understandable, and was quickly dealt with.

Just please take my advice and steer well clear, pay the extra and stay somewhere that doesn't have black mould hanging off the shower, dirty towels, very very small cramped rooms, unsecured parking, They put me in a very small room on the top floor (no lift) that had a skylight which was made out of plastic, it rained that night I woke up about 6 times and got very stressed as I had to be up early in the morning for an interview, overall please try and avoid this "hotel" may as very be a youth hostel The owners should be ashamed very poor

The room was too warm. Despite turning off the radiator and with the window wide opened, it was still too hot.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge as it has a very friendly atmosphere, the staff are all excellent at whatever job they were doing very helpful in every aspect always making sure we were all okay and just to ask if we needed anything. The food was well prepared and presented and plenty of it and could ask for more if needed.Cleanliness of Lodge was very good in fact we cannot find fault at all. We were shown the new extention and was really impressed by the whole place and of course the rooms for the disabled which many places lack but the lodge has it all.We would like to thank all the staff for a very pleasant stay. We will certainly be using it again. J & h Bertram

The staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we were catered for. On the last day the owner of the hotel came and asked if we had been looked after ok. He then asked if we would like a tour of the new part of the hotel - we went on the tour and again we were impressed. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back when we visit family in Huddersfield . I was a wee but cold at night so perhaps more blankets - I could of asked though and I'm sure I would have got more.

The asian family who run it are really friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms were large and had a fridge. The breakfast was lovely-plenty of choice and plenty of food. It was also served early and on New Year's morning there was no one the worse for drink. The reception was always manned. There was free WiFi which worked well. The T.V. reception was poor. The extractor in the shower room kept cutting out. It would have been good to have a map of the local area as we had no idea where we were in relation to the town facilities. We would also have appreciated information in order to get a taxi.

The staff member at reception was very helpful and efficient, the room and facilities were fairly basic but perfectly adequate for my needs. It was a little cold in the room but otherwise no real issues.

It's the only reasonably priced hotel close to Huddersfield centre Last time I wouldn't have fed the breakfast to the dogs so didn't have it this time. It also seems to guest some homeless which I suppose could upset your more middle class types, but then they shouldn't stay there then, eh?

I loved the staff and welcome of the reception , ease of check in and check out and a big room with free wifi The location was not good. There was a housing comunity place just across the road and at any time of day, dodgy people standing outside smoking and talking and I would not feel comfortable coming back in late at night. I also didn't like the beds
