The staff were polite & very helpfull, the best that I have come across. The reasonable price which included a very nice continental breakfast. (Get your voucher from reception before going in the coffee lounge for breakfast) Rooms were just right for a few nights stay, may be a bit difficult with 2 big suitcases. (Twin room) If you have big, heavy cases, ask for a room on the first floor, as no lift. Beds were clean & comfortable, and rooms were warm & good standard of decor. Shower room adequate, clean with plenty of very hot water both am & pm & a large bath towel ! I paid a fair price (£89) for 1 night b&b at this hotel, worth every penny! I Have stayed in other hotels, paid more for the same standard but no breakfast. Would stay there again. There is a pub opposit this hotel, playing music, but it did not bother me or my sister, we shut the windows, couldn't really hear it, just a bass beat...... Not a problem. Slept all night! And was really quite early am.

It's location. The hotel is cheap and basic. Decor is fairly tired. But, in fairness, it's not pretending to be anything else. I was working long hours in the Roundhouse (opposite) and only required a bed to crash in. For this it was ideal.

Clean and comfortable and the coffee lounge breakfast was excellent value at £2 each pre booked at check in great for just a nights sleep.... Other guest kept the whole of the floor 3 awake and were rude when asked to go to their rooms and remained in the corridor for 2 hrs The staff could have been more forceful then other guest could of slept I guess we were just unlucky.

The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. The hotel is bright and airy and has an excellent location. Some of the musicians we had come to see were also staying in the hotel and this was another positive. We hope to come back again to the festival ( Desertfest ) next year and this will be our first choice hotel.

The location was very good and the ease to find the hotel was also handy! The noise from local bars went on a little too long - 3am and the music still disturbed sleep. Also, the distance to nearest parking was a little farther than suggested.

Quite cost-effective. Room was clean and staff was helpfull. Very good location in middle of Camden area. Not for sensitive sleepers.Soundproofing was bad, and the noise came in from upper floor and outside. The radiator also started up at the middle of the night, making noise and made the room too warm to sleep in, and there was no thermostat available to fix the temperature with.

Room would be good for thise using camden barfly or the roundhouse as very close. Radiators had been on all day when I arrived and it had been a hot day. The windows only opened a crack so the room was like a sauna. Had to keep wi dow open all night for a little bit of fresh air but window wouldnt open wide enough for a breeze. Sleeping with the window open was hard as the hotel was in the middle of a bar area with people scraming and ambulances and police cars going all night. Hotel looked run down and could do with a lick of paint. If the hotel was anywhere but london you would consider it expensive for what you get.

The hotel is undergoing a refurb so not all amenities were available. However, though the hotel on the basic side, it was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. The hotel was perfectly situated to attend a gig at the Camden roundhouse and i would definitely use it again for the same purpose. The breakfast was lovely! My only gripe was no milk was provided for tea making and none was available at reception.

I was going to concerts at the Roundhouse and it was so near Good breakfast Heating was on in the room - there was no value to turn this off - it was far too hot and we had to sleep with the windows open.....not handy as there was a pub across the road - with a dj playing unil 1.30am one nite and it was on a busy road - very very noisy. We couldn't shut the windows as we were very uncomfortable with the heat. drunks in hotel - not hotels fault - but we don't think it's acceptable for a drunk to bang on our door twice after 4am! on second floor - people in room above were a nitemare - very selfish - noisy when coming in - banging about and dropping things on floor etc Thanks people staying in room 305 weekend 10th March!! Would only stay again if on top floor and at back of hotel - so would only recommend this to other travellers - would def NOT recommend my room I have answered no below - but if on 3rd floor / back of hotel would say yes Good value for area......

Very handy for Roundhouse (directly across the road). Staff were friendly. I had read elsewhere that the decor was tired but hadn't realised quite how tired! Room was cold - heating obviously didn't work as one radiator wasn't actually connected. However shower was very hot but, unfortunately, it wasn't possible to adjust the setting as the fitting had seized solid. Room clean and OK for one night but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer - no room for luggage.

You get what you pay for - for London this is really cheap! you cannot expect more for this price. All you need was available - bed, desk, tv and coffee/tea maker. To have your own bathroom for this price is also unusual in Zone 1/2 of London. very friendly staff - they even let me check in at 10am in the morning. As I said, it's low cost. It's been clean but not overly clean - the bed wasn't fantastic and it's far from new. I wouldn't walk on the carpet barfoot. But I didn't expect anything else and the superb location and good price makes up for it.

The food & service in the cafe lounge was excellent. Staff helpful & pleasant. I got a dble though I had only paid for a single room. The tv in the room worked ok. Near music gig I was attending & Camden Market. It was reasonably cheap for London & most important that it was near the pub where the gig was as I always worry about getting lost after dark in London. dodgy wiring in bathroom uncomfrtable bed unable to control heating in my room

The description of the hotel states bar: No Bar. The hotel was nosey. We booked full English and then had top pay £3 each for it. There was no control over the heat in the bedroom above 80 degrees. The showers could not be controlled too hot then too cold.

“Bayswater is such a convenient area for so many things to visit, we thought that the suites were very good value for money. However we would especially like to comment on the reception staff. A lady and a young man ( the lady was on duty when we arrived on Thursday and both were on duty on Saturday afternoon when we returned to pick up our cases. They couldn't have been MORE HELPFUL and we were very impressed with the service. facilities in the suite were much more than we expected.” Anne, Dymchurch |
