Great location, beds were comfortable.Greeting when we arrived was pleasant and staff were helpful. The room itself looked very dated and worn, as did the building, both my friend and I were apprehensive when entering the building. No hot water in the morning, and when mentioned to the receptionist they didnt seem that bothered. Definitely would not have paid the cost of the room if I had known in advance what it was like, as do not think it was worth £85.

Perfect location right in the heart of Camden for a good price. Comfortable rooms. We have stayed here a couple of times before & our favourite thing about the hotel was the buffet breakfast so we were very disappointed when we were given a voucher for a neighbouring cafe offering continental breakfast or alternatively pay an additional £3 for full English. I think that if breakfast is included you shouldn't have to pay extra for this.

Was just across road from gig venue - Rounhouse - and a pub, tube station 50m away. Staff friendly and helpful. Basic but clean twin room which can be sometimes hard to find. Good shower. Breakfast included was basic but did the trick. Only issue was that it was really hot due to bathroom radiator having no off switch and the vent wasnt working in bathroom so it turned into a sauna. Overall a good value hotel if you fancy a mooch around Camden Lock, Primrose Hill etc and are sick of crappy Travelodges. See above - minor thing and probably only hot as it was very mild for time of year

Location is so close to the tube and the markets and shops/bars in Camden. The hotel also have a luggage hold room so you can leave stuff safely before or after the stay if you need to wait for a train, etc.Nice coffee bar for continental breakfast. Really noisy guests on our first night spoiled our stay. Not really the hotels fault but felt they could have acted. It ws left to us and other guests to try and speak to the non-english speaking trouble makers! I had to secure the TV aerial to get a good picture and the cord was too short on the kettle so had to lift off the table to get close to a plug.

The staff were polite & very helpfull, the best that I have come across. The reasonable price which included a very nice continental breakfast. (Get your voucher from reception before going in the coffee lounge for breakfast) Rooms were just right for a few nights stay, may be a bit difficult with 2 big suitcases. (Twin room) If you have big, heavy cases, ask for a room on the first floor, as no lift. Beds were clean & comfortable, and rooms were warm & good standard of decor. Shower room adequate, clean with plenty of very hot water both am & pm & a large bath towel ! I paid a fair price (£89) for 1 night b&b at this hotel, worth every penny! I Have stayed in other hotels, paid more for the same standard but no breakfast. Would stay there again. There is a pub opposit this hotel, playing music, but it did not bother me or my sister, we shut the windows, couldn't really hear it, just a bass beat...... Not a problem. Slept all night! And was really quite early am.

I've stayed here four times. Excellent little hotel within staggering distance of Camden's finest bars/pubs, including Amy Winehouse's beloved Hawley Arms, which is just five mins away on Castlehaven Road. Give this place a try and i'll bet you'll return!

The staff was exceptionally nice to me, a woman traveling alone. I really appreciated their kindness. The shower. I told them the same thing as I am saying here. The water was either icy cold or it was boiling hot. In ten days, I had one decent shower. Travelers should also know that the hotel does not have a lift. Not a problem, because the staff helped me with my luggage.

There is really only one big plus here: location! Crazy, bohemien, grungy, punky, party central Camden is not covered with many hotels so this one benefits from that. It is near the tube station, near bars and small supermarket and all the fun filled shops, pubs, restaurants and music venues of Camden. If this hotel had been in any other location, it probably be out of business soon. Requested a bath, both at booking from home as upon checkin. No problem, they just had to clean the room still as I was a bit early. Of course, once back: no room with bath available. The available room was small but ok in size given the prize, however the very dirty carpets were not. Tv did not work, it was replaced with a smaller one later. Warm water was a problem: either there was none, or for a short period of time, or it took five minutes to get warm. Room is on the noisy side. This hotel is probably best suited for travellers that intend to party in Camden till late and be so tired that any faults go unnoticed. For the rest of us, I'd look elsewhere.

Location was ideal opposite Chalk Farm tube station and only a short walk from Camden Market. Staff were friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast was lovely also nice to have the option to upgrade to a full english for only £3. I have stayed in a number of budget hotels in the past and this by far was the best I would highly recommend the hotel for a short stay in London. There were a few small improvements that could be made to the room as the carpet was quite stained and there was no plug provided for the sink but as we spent limited time in the room it wasn't really an issue. The hotel is also located opposite a loud pub which stayed open until the early hours. The walls are quite thin so you can hear people moving around this did not bother us but it could other people.

The location and the breakfast, which was more than enough for us (we had the continental). It kept me going until mid-afternoon. Also the fact that the duty manger took the trouble to re-tune a remote for the tv as the previous guests had walked off with the last one. The smallness and the close proximity of our room to the High Street. We were right on the corner by the traffic lights and junction. It was noisy until about 2 am so difficult to sleep until then.
