Spacious rooms, excellent food, staff very attentive an polite, easy access with good size car par park.

Friendly Staff, good service. Quality of the evening menu was excellent.

1. Noisy closure of adjacent Fire Doors caused an irritating double or triple "knock" on the wall of the room 2 or three times per minute, all the time that the central stairwell was in use. They should either adjust the spring closer on the door to close more slowly, or install a rubber "bump" stop on the frame. This must have been suffered by every guest staying in this room (Room #3). 2. They also need to review their policy of booking older guests into rooms next family rooms with very young children, as the repeated crying of babies is NOT conducive to a restful stay for retired/older people. 3. Quality of the Enlish breakfast was mediocre - tomatoes were not cooked at all, egg had uncooked white, the single sausage was case-hardened, and the portion of beans was minuscule.

We very much like the area around this hotel and the friendly family feeling it had. The service by the staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly and we felt that they cared very much that we enjoyed ourselves and felt at home. The hotel is ideally situated to enjoy the fishing facilities next to this hotel and makes for an extremely restful stay. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, even a family with children as there is a small holding and farm animals to see. The only thing that we would say is that you need a car as it is expensive to use Taxis to get around these days. The food was excellent and generous and we certainly felt that we had value for money. The hotel was busy the whole time we were there so that is a good indication of the popularity of the hotel even with the local people.

Excellent value. We travelled with a 1 year old and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Very attractive location. Would certainly stay again.

It's not value for money.room was not properly cleaned and they are not clear with guests on the time for breakfast.we stayed half an hour inside (all doors locked)waiting for the staff to arrive in the morning. Nobody told us about this and it was not written.

Everything, hotel is in the countryside but perfect for discovering the area, perfectly situated between Bath, Bristol and Shepton Mallet. Cheddar gouge Glastonbury 30 minutes away, lots more to see, well worth a visit. Hotel owners and staff always their to help if needed, food was great, we had one of the rooms over looking the fishing lake, perfect to wake up to any time of the year.

It was overpriced for what we received; the rooms were uncomfortable with paper thin walls, worst night sleep I had in a long time. When asked by the staff how I enjoyed my stay, and I was was less than enthusiastic, I received a lecture and was made to feel like a small child. Would not recommend this Lodge to anyone.

I liked the friendly welcome, rural location and the quality and cleanliness of the facilities. I came to Cameley Lodge with my grandson as he was attending an open day at Bristol Vetinary School and the location was excellent for easy access there on Saturday morning. We enjoyed aexcellent, reasonably priced meal on Saturday night and would ceertainly recommend Cameley Lodge to family and friends.

It was a quiet and peaceful night after a hectic flight to Bristol Airport from Spain. The staff were very welcoming and understanding even though we arrived much later than we had hoped( about 1.00 am ).The hotel is in a very pretty location off the beaten track but our sat nav took us straight there and there were bright lights to help when we arrived. We have considered using the hotel again if we should want a quiet hotel close to Bath or Bristol but obviously one would need a car.The location is very pretty and it would be good also to explore the surrounding countryside where there are some nice pubs.
