the room and the staff... worth more than we paid... couldnt ask for more and brilliant rooms. breakfast was great and location is great. highly recommended
We liked everything, was wonderful and we got a free upgrade
I was pleased to be given a double room at no extra cost. Very comfortable bed and fast wi-fi. I didn't even use all the facilities such as the restaurant and bar. The staff were very welcoming.
The walls were a bit thin. Probably because my room was on the top floor, the water pressure wasn't always good.
The hotel is lovely. It's in a great spot, right on the water. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are private, spacious, clean and look and feel new. Everything down to the furniture is excellently done in the rooms and they provided lots of tea and coffee supplies as well as free wi-Fi. Room service was also great and really fast despite the restaurant holding multiple Christmas functions (from which I heard no noise!). I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking at hotels around the area and I know I will be back when I'm next in Southend.
Staff always very pleasant, (and they really do smile, and have a little chat) nothing too much trouble for them. The Breakfasts were fantastic, (we did not have other meals there) Spotless accommodation, very tastefully decorated. Very very reasonably priced. Will definitely use this establishment again.
The passages are rather narrow, and proved a bit difficult for wheelchair access, but we managed.
Everything - the gentleman gave us a parking bay, as my wife has a blue badge - the room was lovely - the food too and the staff very helpful and friendly - what more could you want!
Staff very friendly ,hotel great view fine ,would recommend to all my family and friends ,
Wi Fi Breakfast Staff
I liked the modern feel and the cleanliness. Staff very friendly. Good value for money. Lovely location. Not too far out from centre of town. Lovely sea view.
Would have liked an option of a full vegetarian cooked breakfast.
Just FABULOUS!!! Staff really friendly and very helpful. The suite we stayed in was SO lovely! Will definitely stay here again!!!
v friendly, family run, good food
We have stayed in Southend on a number of occasions to visit friends, so normally choose a Premier Inn as we really only need it for somewhere to sleep but this hotel is the type I would choose if I was planning a several day stay for sightseeing etc. it was a very pleasant hotel and although we did not use the dining room or bar they both looked very inviting.
Breakfast - very good value
friendly staff small bar lounge and sky tv cleanliness
not getting an option for even a continental breakfast when i booked out early prior to breakfast even though they had a night porter available
Location is Excellent and the breakfast was brilliant. This Hotel was a really good find. Will be back with the wife next time!
Friendly staff. Top class room.
Hotel staff very polite and helpfull room clean comfortable and decorated nicely breakfast was very cheap but that did not affect its quality all round lovely comfy stay will definitely return
booking in was ok told we was upgraded to a Superior room (i would hate to have a normal double) the room 27 in the annexe was good quite roomy with everything you needed but wow was it noisy from the outside people chatting and smokers and from other guest's in adjoining rooms boy are the walls thin, you hear everything and I mean everything. Breakfast was good once you found out the code Sunday breakie being a buffet at the extra cost of £5 each it was worth it however. Would I stay again proberly
thin walls listening to other guest's various varied lives mmmmm
The room was spot on.
Did expect to get full English on a plate for us. As I had to pay £5each for it. We were asked 4 times in 15mins was everything ok. Very annoying .
Friendly staff, clean room, able to make tea in room, reasonably priced.
Could not have an evening meal there as there was a function on in the dinning area.
This year we have stayed in several hotels, this one was as good as it gets. Room was very clean, bed was large and comfortable, view over the estuary stunning. Staff were polite and helpful. Will use again!!!!!!
A very friendly well run hotel. Room was lovely and clean with a great view. Location excellent and breakfast excellent value and very high standard of preparation. We come to Southend a fair bit so when next have to stay will use this hotel.
