bed was not king size (that's what I booked) no oven gloves!!

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Honest and efficient - I left a credit card there and they kept it and informed me. Parking easy.Informative.Helpful. Very polite and nice mannered. Rooms perfectly adequate - fresh and nicely presented.

Only slight glitch - we booked a twin room and I had a put u up bed put into a corner part of room so not as comfortable as my daughter who had a main double bed! Although was comfortable for a put u up, not quite what expected! Overall did not really spoil visit, but could have done.

Very warm welcome, good room and excellent breakfast

From start to finish the hotel owners and family made us feel extremely welcome and gave us directions to where we needed to be that evening. The hotel was spotlessly clean and tidy and the room had all the facilities we needed including an iron and ironing board which is not often provided. On returning to the bar in the evening, we were not rushed out at closing time. Abby and Jamie were perfect hosts and ensured we had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely. All in all, we would certainly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

nice size room and got up graded was very happy with the free upgrade

not many staff on at night in the bar . also need more tea coffee things in the room as only had 2 of each . could do with a small frige in the room and a blind on the front room door

thought room size was small considering we had been upgraded would not like to stay in ordinary room if that was upgraded lovely view but very small also small bathroom probable wont use again

Very convenient for the town and the seafront. A bus stop almost outside the hotel with good connections to Southend and Shoeburyness. Plenty of parking at the rear. Free wifi and good breakfast

Have to take your suitcase up stairs but staff would have helped.

I was really surprised when my BF picked this hotel but thought it worth a go. what a joy!! the beach is just accross the road, views stunning, the main beach facilities no more than 10 minutes stroll down the road, the hotel bar was open when ever we wanted a drink and the staff were extremely friendly. couldnt do enough for us. then of course there is the value for money it represented. well worth the stay, if not for the hotel and location, then for the relaxing atmosphere.

We had an enjoyable weekend stay at this hotel and would definitely book to stay here again

from the time we set foot into the hotel, the staff made us feel very welcome and could not do enough for us, we arrived early and our rooms were not quite ready, so the lovely lady on reception, buzz through to the cleaning lady and asked if she could finish our rooms as my sister in law was feeling a little under the weather, this was done immediately, we sat in the bar area and was served hot chocolate and coffee which was lovely on such a cold day. the rooms were lovely and so was the breakfast, would definately book again if in the area and recommend to family and friends. top marks to you all, keep up the good work. The staff were very nice, the hotel was warm and clean. We found parking easy in a car park behind the hotel.

The bathroom was cold and could not get the radiator to work, I found it difficult to control the temperature on the shower. Was woken up very early by the bins being emptied. I don't like food that is kept warm and would rather a freshly cooked breakfast

The staff were very friendly. We had a free upgrade to a larger room.

The walls were paper thin. The noise of the couple arguing in the room next door was so bad we left in the middle of the night and drove home.

I like where the hotel was situated on the beach front. I also like that it was small.

we was put in a very small room at the top of the Hotel, the attic, because of the slanted roof I was unable to stand up straight, I am 5.7 tall, found that very uncomfortable, also being so high reduced the water flow and therefore the shower had no power what so ever. I had so much trouble terying to wash the shampoo out of my hair.we also overlooked the car park.
