Trouble finding room 100! Mis-leading signs
After a lovely lunch yesterday, we checked into a room at Cameron House. Which was sold on the website as ‘may become a true of yours’ but it has in truth ‘became a true hate of mine’. I am sure my boyfriend who has just enjoyed two hours of projectile vomiting followed by intense rigors would agree. We had dinner at The Grill as well as breakfast there the following morning. Four hours after checking out of the hotel, my boyfriend became ill with vomiting typical of food poisoning. He did not have anything to eat between leaving the hotel and becoming ill. We did not have any food which was not provided by the hotel during our stay. And he was very well before we checked into the hotel. We had lunch at Martin Wishart before checking in. However, we were accompanied by two others and all choose from the same set menu. As no one else from lunch was ill, and it was over twenty hours before the onset of vomiting, one can assume lunch was safe from the common gastroenteritis inducing bacterias. It would be difficult to contest to the fact that this is a case to food poisoning consequent of food provided at the hotel. We did spend an hour in the pool yesterday evening. However, we went into the same pools and I, myself, am very well. After breakfast, we witness a boy leaving from breakfast and vomiting outside The Grill. His distressed mother wiped up the vomit soaked in the carpet. Absolutely appalled, to describe it frankly. I can only compare the aftermath of the dining experience at Cameron house to what one might expect from eating street food in Morocco. On a brighter note, the valet staff and receptionist were most welcoming and helpful. It is with regret to say, this was the worst experience we have had at a ‘five star’ hotel.
The holiday was relaxing. The meal and staff were very good/welcoming in the boathouse.
The atmosphere in the grill was not very good. The meal was overpriced in the grill. After a treatment at Carrick the spa facilities were £39 which was extortionate.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable! The staff couldn't do enough for you! The pool and gym were lovely.

Queues at breakfast
The staff, the facilities, the views were all absolutely fantastic! Staff were attentative without being overly fussy or intrusive.
Very minor things: would have liked the leisure facilities to be open slightly later and an earlier check-in time would have useful.
Everything alovely nights stay chear luxury, afternoon fabulous.
My partner treated me to a two night stay in the King suite, WOW! I felt like a princess! Everything was brilliant!
Staff were excellent. Very helpful.
Not a reflection on hotel, but unfortunately I was terribly unwell, so spent most of stay in bed :-( so didn't get a chance to use all the facilities.
Beautiful location close to Glasgow. Lovely interior decor and rooms comfortable.
The shower in Room 30 does not work-beware! We requested a newspaper at check-in but it was never delivered.
Great location. Large pool . Food very good but could do with alternative dishes of the day etc. Very nice breakfast choice but suggest to stick to eat a la carte menu
Due to size we thought it slightly impersonal and like a conveyor belt. Some Dining staff need a little more training . Interior deco forced / thematic .

Beautiful location on Loch Lomond! Attentive and helpful staff. Hotel, rooms and grounds fabulous. Afternoon tea is a must, delicious!
All was excellent pool squash cameron grill bar
the boathouse was a bit too expensive ( 4 pounds bottle of water and 4 pounds an espresso)
The staff are very friendly without being overtly at your side every minute - fantastic!
Receptionists voice is very loud
It is well decorated and a great location.
It is hyped. There are too many disappointing items. Other than a £31m refit, it is high style low class, poor service.
Too few staff at breakfast Booked twin room and a double room ( which were confirmed) discovered we were given two lovely doubles next door to each other but twin not booked .We had to be moved miles away to far side of hotel , which was an inferior room and logistically awkward . We were charged he full price of course.
Great location on Loch Lomond helpful reception staff Old part a stunning building Convenient for Glasgow and the Trossachs
Lacked small touches. Had to ask for mustard and condiments. Breakfast quite limited. The Boat House Restaurant over rated. Added 10% to the food and drink bills. Absolutely no recognition of being Valentines Day. Got our table reservation for Saturday wrong although I had checked 3 times. Some of the restaurant staff inexperienced. Survives on past glories. Falls well short of other 5 star hotels we have stayed in.
Leisure facilities are fantastic, comfortable rooms and bed
Service at the Cameron Grill was a little disappointing. The food was good quality, however we waited quite a bit between courses - more so than i would expect for the prices you're paying to eat. Other than that, a good meal.
The room was lovely and the hotel overall was excellent. The staff were excellent.
Didn't like the ambience in the Boathouse.Too brightly lit although the food was very good.
Everything ! Excellent hotel and staff who welcomed us from the moment we stepped out the car door
Mobile signal is limited but not always a bad thing if your wanting a break
