Campanile Hotel - Basildon - East of London    

Staff were very good. Food much better than anticipated. I would recommend the hotel as a budget conscious stopover.

A bit too close to the main road. It is not on the main road, but my Sat Nav thought it was.

The relaxed atmosphere and the excellent breakfast. The pet friendly policy which was the main reason for our choice.

The unstable beds on wheels in the twin room. One of the rooms smelt a bit musty and stale. The one downstairs

The room suited us for the purpose, comfy bed, coffee making facilities, food on site. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

We had to ask each evening for towels as every day the room steward cleaned the room and took the old towels but didn't leave any new ones.

The continental breakfast is good

Chalets were clean and comfortable. My expectations were low fur to the price but the staff - friendly welcome - standard of room and cleanliness and continental breakfast were all good A very pleasant stay

Pre booked this online as a pay when you arive booking, yet the hotel in the meantime tried to take booking total amount from my card, this I will be complaining about inthe near future.

They are not rooms they are chalets, it was dirty, the carpets were ripped, mould in the bathroom , kettle and cups hanging off the wall so could not use . very overpriced, would never go back.Have taken photos and emailed company with no response.

It was clean. I liked the free wifi and the television was excellent.

The bed kept coming a way from the headboard and pillows kept slipping in the gap.

It reminded me of a Tarantino movie location.

The bath was tiny. Funny though.

The room was very basic and the bathroom smelt badly of smoke. To be fair the staff offered to change my room but I suggested a spray would be ok.

Cheap & clean

Very very dated not very modern but hence why cheap did the job knew what to expect.

The room was adequate as was the ensuite. It provided all essential comfort for a one night stay.

Lite next to wardrobe did not work

the staff are always really polite, we stay there quite a bit and i was really ill, the head of cleaning was fantastic there was nothing she wouldn't do for us.

I've stayed there a couple of times now and the thing that gets me is that check out is at 12 a the last couple of times I've had people just barge in to clean the rooms without knocking and even with the do not disturb sign in the door !!!!!!! Not happy

Differant prices every day , vi stayed for five days . On the saturday came 2 coaches with 120 guests so vi missed out on breakfast and hot water
