Campanile Hotel Cardiff  

The rooms where very comfortable and had all we needed for the duration of our stay. There is a bar in the reception if people dont want to leave the hotel. The pub is only 4 minutes walk away and you can get a very nice meal and the pub is child friendly. We where traveling in a 17 seat minibus and had no trouble parking

We felt the breakfast could have been better organised. The first morning we had all gone off to get cereal, orange juice, tea, coffee etc and when we arrived back at our table the waiter had already delivered a cooked breakfast each so we had to choose wether to let the breakfast go cold or eat cooked first then cereal last. The second morning 2 of our group didnt get given a cooked breakfast until well after us, even though they had arrived a good 20mins before us. After having watched the speedway gp that finished at 8.30pm we had to get a taxi back because the bus back to the hotel had stopped for the night at 7.55pm. These where small points and didnt detract from a great weekend.

The room exceeded my expectation, was warm and spacious for the price.

One power point in a room is not enough. Not being able to watch TV whilst phone is charging is really not good enough.

It was cheap and fine for an overnight stop.

We had a leak in our room and had to put a towel down to damped the dropping sound. The tea making facilities were also very limited and tased fowl.

There was no 24 hour reception or security and as it was a saturday night we needed it!

We had breakfast in the morning which offered a good variety and also the staff were polite.

I did not like the fact that the rooms are actually separate shalet like rooms, very basic and not as modern as pictured.

Easy access from motorway, friendly staff on arrival to leaving. Breakfast and evening meals where very good and reasonable. Room cosy and clean.

Basic bit warm, comfortable and cheap. Nice staff.

Just the staff & food

I did not like the idea of being waken at 2 am in the morning by drunken guests who disturbed us until 5 am ! There were no plug sockets in the room we chose this because we had stayed in a Campanile in Luxembourg i suggest you should either lower your prices or bring the Hotel up to Standard ! I would not think about staying here or even reccommending this hotel ! I would not even Rate it as a 2 Star let alone 3 !
