For what we paid (£33.60 for one night in a twin room), my mum and I were very impressed by this hotel. Friendly staff, pleasant room (small but enough space to move about), excellent location (just off the motorway, a short drive into town and just down the road from Park & Ride). Very decent breakfast for £8.75.
Poor quality matress
Value for money & clean
rooms are basic and very annoyingly had no plug socket near the bed for mobile to be used as alarm clock. More choice needed at breakfast and more comfortable beds needed too
Staff were friendly and helpful, meeting room good and location great
Jobs worth attitude of Duty Manager day of arrival regarding towels-we had one each and this really is not enough when you bath at night and shower in the morning-despite my mentions no offer of extra towels and told that the one in the wardrobe was the extra one-excuse me but we don't normally share one between us!! -the ''green info'' suggesting that one unwashed towel saves 6 litres of water is a bit over the top as I imagine that all towels are laundered en masse.. if not and they are hand washed individually well....the tea and coffee sachets in the bedroom were really rank.. coffee didn't taste remotely like coffee and the tea tasted stale with no tea taste and no selection of teas. Nasty little hairdryer fixed to wall with no use for ladies who blow dry their hair into any sort of style(glad I brought my own).
Lovely cheery lady on duty on both evenings and morning of departure. Nice breakfast. Big double very bouncy bed-a bit too bouncy as nearly ended up on the floor when husband turned over during the night!!! needs stabilisers!!!:) Evening meals in the restaurant were really good and served in good time, but this maybe due to low numbers of guests.
Pillows not comfy, limited tea and coffee. Bathroom a little tired. I would have expected more for what I paid.
Bed was comfy, room was clean and good size and warm. Bath included although short. Staff cheery.
Come and go very easily .easy to find
My son was in a room in the other block and had to complain about noise coming from next door. That said, the matter was dealt with immediately.
The cleanliness of the rooms. The staff were helpful and pleasant.
No mirror by the hair dryer. room a little dated and small but bed comfortable
plenty of parking. No pressure to have breakfast.
Dirty towles took our own the bed was too soft
cheap and close enough to Cardiff to catch a bus and a short taxi ride back during the bank holidays
Because the accommodation is separate from reception, there is no one to check what's going on with guests. Signs say quiet after 11pm or fines. But drunk ladies Sat at 1 and then a fight and argument at 630 in the room next to us ruined the stay. Never again.
Check-in easy. New waitrose and cafe within walking distance. Plenty parking. Room size. Good shower.
nothing everything was good
nice people very friendly and nice rooms
2 single beds for a couple
Short notice but room available - not to far from city center.
close to busses as we had free bus passes
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room though would like more t bags as only 2 are provided.
We were put in a downstairs room as we had a dog with us. We were advised we could take our meals to our room if we wished. We had one meal in the restaurant it was delicious!
I don't no
Breakfast ending at 11.00
Pleasant staff, comfortable and large rooms.
There was constantly a water pump kicking in at night which could be heard everywhere. Nothing a few earplugs couldn't solve!
Pretty comfortable bed. It was a bit unexpected! Close to the motorway into Cardiff. Cheap price.
Very stingy on tea/coffee. Only enough for 1 cup. Had to go and buy our own. Mattress worn out, bedding stained, only 2 small towels provided, only 1/2 toilet roll provided.
Free wiFi although you had to keep logging back in.
payin for Wi-Fi
The shower was clean and worked great. Beds where nice an clean an comfortable
Not 3.5 miles from the city as advertised on booking.com, 6 miles away. The shower was poor, water switching between hot and cold.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in.
Shower a bit feeble but the water was hot.
Really helpful staff, very friendly. Bit of a mix up with my requirements but sorted out in no time. Very clean bedding, comfy bed, clean towels and clean bathroom. Plenty of tea/coffee sachets. I would stay again.
You feel as you are alone
Minimum 2 night booking for match dates Noise from water pump
Availability of accommodation for big international international match
There was a lot of noise- people shouting at 4.30 am and a couple arguing in the room next door. The rooms need better sound insulation.
It was easy to get I to Cardiff and the bed was very comfortable.
The other customers were noisy.
Staff were helpful
