Good hotel located some 2 miles out of Doncaster but with buses every few minutes to the centre. Room was clean and comfortable. Water always hot.
Motel type room opening direct to the outside which was used as a smoking area so quite noisy. Bath/shower quite small and difficult to get into. Cold bathroom stone floor. Needs renovation.
Staff and the bed was comfy and bedding clean
Very run down, very dark in room and No Plug socket!!! Carpet filthy
Ehrrmm... OK: the room was quiet and the hotel is situated next to a huge shopping mall (if you fancy that...)
Room was dirty. The staff just doesn't care. Breakfast (continental) is horrible and WAY overpriced. Avoid it.
Location and price
Poor lighting and building was a bit shabby
Very little I'm afraid it was tatty and damp showing through the walls complained but nothing they could do
Excellent, quiet location. Nice clean comfortable bed
Put out the do not not make up singe and the cleaner still nocked us up
Good check in
Evening meal, I went for the Kerala indian meal and it was served freezing, out of a packet and microwaved
It is ecomonical It clean and tidy Decently located
Nothing so far
the staff were friendly and helpful, the bed & towels clean. drink facilities good and restaurant good.
no glass in the bathroom. cracked sink. hole in bathroom door. children running about upstairs (but not too disruptive).
Nothing to fault. Room was fine. Evening meal and Breakfast were fine. Just as I would have expected and have found before from this hotel chain.
I won't sign up with Campanile to get WIFI - all I want is the password - so I did not use the facility. Oh, the Postcode is nowhere close to the hotel - so don't rely on it!
The staff were very nice and the food was good
The toilet was disgusting under the rim, our room absolutely stank of stale smoke, there were ashtrays outside out room on the balcony. The place in General gives an old US motel vibe
No proper facilities near enough to end an evening out in. Predominantly a workers motel for travelling contract people
Good price, friendly staff, food available, nice private location.
Comfy bed, nice clean sheets and covers, plenty of teabags and milk, bathroom was nice, and there were heaters to use, the staff were very friendly
Room was a bit cold, but the heaters helped warm it up Breakfast was quite expensive so did not eat there
Location to the racecourse and to the Lakeside retail park.
The premises were dated and needs an overhaul inside and out. A typical 60's style of motel.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. Lovely TV in room. Was on the ground floor. The pub and bar restaurant very relaxing. Evening meals were good. Didn't have breakfast, so can't comment.
There was nothing not to like.
As I was at a conference at the racecourse, the location of the hotel was very convenient, just a 10 minute walk if that. I was given the option on arrival of booking an evening meal and breakfast, and was allowed to check in early as my room was ready. The bed was very comfortable and whilst on the compact side, the room had everything that I needed for my stay.
Only one plug socket available in the room, so I couldn't charge my mobile up whilst watching tv, it was one or the other. Despite being in what was deemed a quiet zone, I was woken up during the night due to some noisy neighbours in the room next door to me.
Very comfy, clean beds. Great night's sleep. Friendly and helpful staff.
We could only find one socket which was inconvenient as we had 2 phones and a tablet to recharge. Eventually found another socket behind the TV - just before we checked out.
Location and the staff. The restaurant offered a fairly limited and uninspiring choice BUT the food was well cooked and presented and the service was good.
It's really just a motel; old; badly needs a refurbishment and there wasn't a socket in the bedroom to recharge a mobile or laptop.
I like the retro motel style. Good proximity to ASDA which has a good cafe in it, breakfast was subtantially more for half the price of the hotel. The race course is close enough to walk for conventions etc.
It was a tired building. Some upgrades had clearly been done, ie bathroom facilities, however it looks like they were done by a DIYer rather than good trades people. The extractor in the bathroom was full of "fluff". The price! I paid $10 in the US for similar style but better quality, not worth £42 that I paid.
Very dirty cobwebs every where was waiting for spiders to jump out staff where excellent
Food looked good and staff where very friendly
Basic, clean and tidy with good Wifi
The girls screams of passion for two hours from 4.30am in the morning from next door
Ive stayed a few times and each room smells of smoke
